The Missouri Tigers returned to Faurot Field Saturday for the 2024 Black & Gold Spring Game, and in a tight contest that came down to the end, the Black squad, led by starting QB Brady Cook, outmanned the Gold squad, winning by a 10-9 score.

Ya. Wasn’t much to it either. Don’t want to give away too much I guess.

Drink wanted to give the players a month to focus on getting their taxes done.

We could fire our entire staff pre game and you'd still be a glorified scrimmage

Maybe just a new strategy to keep the transfer and nil eyes off your players. PJ Fleck of Minnesota Gopher fame is closing their spring game to the public to try and keep prying eyes off his players come April 15th. Drink has had an extra month to settle the troops. Can't blame the coaches for trying something new.

He did the same last spring, and essentially canceled the game because of weather.

College fans fear April 15th more for the NIL and Magic Portal than taxes these days. These spring games look like Players are auditioning for College Football's American Idol.

I would be tempted to shut the public and media out myself.

What was attendance? What was admission price for tickets?

Questions for the fans of The Team On The Rise.

Attendance - 348,000
Admission - $100/person

That's $34.8 million, specifically ear-marked for poaching paperclip players.

Worked out for us pretty well last time

Historically the spring game has not been a big deal up here, and no matter how good the team is, it’s hard to get Missourians to care about it

I don’t give a shite about the spring game. I just thought it was odd that spring practice started so early and not much of a break from the season itself. Maybe it allows more uninterrupted time with the S&C coach after the fact

I'm good with the setup. It makes sense:
1) If there is a significant injury, it's extra time to rehab
2) You don't have spring break right in the middle of spring practices
3) You see quickly where you need to upgrade so that...
3) You can get a head start against the other teams regarding portal
