It doesn’t matter if Drink leaves. Dan Lanning has already told family back in KC that he is interested in coaching Mizzou.

Lanning isn’t leaving Oregon for Mizzou
you might as well talk about Saban like the deranged LSU fans

Nick Saban didn’t grow up in Louisiana. Dan Lanning grew up in Missouri. Went to college in Missouri. Worked at a high school in Missouri. Still has family in Missouri.
But ok. The comparisons are exactly the same.

Well most coaches want a chance to win something. Been 57 years since a mizzou coach last won a co-conference championship

Oregon is the best school in an NIL era. Hands down

I would say Indiana is since Indiana did beat Oregon at their place.

Once again you clowns look at the overall record. Do you forget Drink had to rebuild the program for the ashes. How many of those losses occurred before 2023?

Of all the dumb shite I’ve seen on here, Lanning leaving Nike U for Mizzou might take the cake

And you probably watched the game on your telegraph machine. What time of night does the nursing home confiscate your phone?

Drink isn't the end all be all. He recruits in the low 20's and hits the portal hard. He's 7-16 vs the top 25. That's not awesome for an $11M dollar coach

Not. A. fricking. Chance.

But wait until next season when Mizzou finally plays a decent schedule relative to the rest of the league… they’ll be exposed just like Kentucky was.
Hey retard with your false b.s. narrative. Look at aTm this year and tell me they don't have an easy schedule.
You hear anyone talking the b.s. you're talking?
aTm basically has a two game SEC schedule this year or maybe just one game with their last game being against Tejas but we all know they are nothing more than a paper tiger. Their other toughest game is against Mizzou with our third string QB and plus we all know Mizzou sucks, right?
Tejas could EASILY have two more losses and not to good teams.
So shut the f8ck up with your b.s. You just had a coach get fired after losing to fuggin KENTUCKY you moron.

So by your retarded logic then obviously Nebraska is in a much better spot than Mizzou right? In your world just b/c they won 40 years ago then surely they have a better shot to win a championship then Mizzou?
I'm not even saying Mizzou is close to winning a Championship. Just pointing out how flawed your logic is.

Bingo! There's a long line of coaches that would coach at Mizzou for over $10 million per year and no other competition in the state. Like a Bama/Auburn, Michigan/Michigan St. etc. where Mizzou doesn't have any state competition.
There'd be a long line for any job that pays $10 million plus per year.

My assessment of the vibe:
•We universally want to keep Drink.
•We realize that the state of the program as a whole makes this job very appealing for a lot of candidates:
1. Our facilities are top 25.
2. Our recruiting base is top 25.
3. Our NIL is top 15.
4. Our curator willingness to give power to a competent head coach is top 10.
5. Our willingness to pay is top 5 (allegedly $12.5 per for Drink).
That’s a competitive program in any era. So nobody wants to lose but there isn’t a sky is falling vibe.

I’m not sure Franklin isn’t better,
If Drink leaves I'd take Franklin in a heartbeat. Franklin might want to go to a place like Mizzou because having a single disappointing season wouldn't get him fired. Most bluebloods have unrealistic expectation these days.
