This kinda pretends that the Big Six is still real. In reality UT, UF and to some degree Auburn have been out of it most of the past decade, and UT is probably never coming back to that.

I don’t think Mizzou would be rated below UT and UF in the 14 team era, they both went 6-6 vs Mizzou in conf play, there wasn’t a bottom 4 there was UGA, 4 decent teams, and 2 doormats.

and you won't sniff a win in the state of MO for a long time. 80 years and counting.

I was wondering why you're so bitter, then I saw that you're an Arizona State fan...

Six turnovers - in a bowl game no less.

You guys should open up a chain of bakeries...

Missouri fans: This jerk has already proven he is not an Alabama fan. He’s LSU solid and like some other LSU fans he feels threatened that his team is in decline since 2019 and Ole Miss and Missouri are improving.

Did I hurt your feelings about Baker not going to LSU in the Coaching changes board?

Next year you will have to face Texas A&M

The myth of Texas A&M.

Mizzou has as many 11+ win seasons since joining the SEC as A&M has since 1940.

Mizzou has more 12 win seasons since 2007 than Texas A&M has in its 121 year history.

Texas A&M all time is 9-7 against Mizzou. In the last 10 games, Mizzou is 7-3 against Texas A&M.

Texas A&M doesn’t instill fear in Mizzou.

Auburn is down. I don’t think they’ll recover enough between now and next year to beat Mizzou next year. Alabama will probably kick our arse, but we may be able to make them pucker for three quarters. Oklahoma isn’t the same scary team either. They have OL issues, and we’ll have to see how their new QB fairs. And they are coming off a season where they lost to KU with a backup QB and a fairly weak Oklahoma State team and had no defense against Arizona. Not exactly intimidating.

But the reality is no one can predict what will happen before now and next season. I wouldn’t have predicted Mizzou getting 4/5 OL injured in 2012 either. Nor would so have predicted our starting QB to be hurt and a freshman backup see more game action than the starter. But it happened and crippled our offense. It was a wake up call for Pinkel’s staff about the need for depth in the SEC.

I think Missouri showed this year with player rotation that we do have depth now. But you never know.

You guys will never sniff Atlanta again. Not when you rank near the bottom of the league in recruiting.

Any success you had from 2012-2023 was just an illusion. You guys had the most unfair advantage of any team in the league. Best of luck.

And Mizzou has the most relaxed NIL law in the country being the only FBS P2 program in a state with 2 major cities, great recruiting bases, double digit Fortune 500 companies and other wealthy institutions. It’s not far fetched to say they may be in the national spotlight for awhile (barring injuries and shoot yourself in the foot events of course).

Maybe. How do you know? It's not like LSU is completely devoid of trolls.

I'm sure you would trade the traditional bottom fours of Missouri, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Vandy for A&M, MSU, Ole Miss, and Arkansas.

The last several years? yes. Yes I would.

Mizzou has played in three cotton bowls in 15 years so I guess the decade is five years long?

Won all three, btw.

And we had florida during their best run ever. Whats your point?

LSU has played UF yearly since the 50s.

Yep. My point is that an LSU fan is making snarky comments at Missouri for having Arkansas as their permanent opponent while Florida has had Florida lately. So, what is the difference?

quote:

Outside of UGA which is a toss up, who would have been a harder permanent rival? We already played in the West

You can't magically take Georgia out of the equation any more than you can take Alabama out of the equation. It's like me asking LSU fans, :Who is a better opponent from the west if you take Alabama out of the west? Y'all keep acting like the west is the same animal from earlier in the 2010's. It's not. I haven't taken the time this year, but the east has beaten the west head to head 2 out of the last 4 years before this year. It's not like the west is some mythical monster full of 12-0 teams.

It's like you failed to read the OP on why it won't be happening again for a while. The only way it happens again in the near future would be due to them not using bowl games as part of the 12 team playoff format.

They should enjoy the season. They follow their team, support their team, and had a Top Ten result with a coach they just locked down.

Enjoy it, Mizzou.

Hate to tell you. UGA was never a toss up. Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel important. Then check the times this year Georgia came back in games. They have to get motivated and shake off the boredom of playing the Miseries of this world. I was there this season and last and can report there was no worry on our fans part. Maybe a little impatience that it was taking so long for our Dawgs to start doing their thing. We knew what UGA is capable of doing and knew when it came down to it they would get it done. And they did. Big surprise!
