We didn’t lose that much by losing him TBH. We certainly didn’t lose $2M worth of defense.

Why did Mizzou attempt to make a competing offer?

Because we wanted to keep him. I’m not claiming we didn’t want to keep him. I’m stating that the world didn’t stop when he left.

They think this landscape is the same as pre NIL/portal… I personally do not care about Blake Baker, Wingo, etc. it’s CF NOW. Players & coaches will be moving around every year. A few LSU fans think they are better than everyone else. “How many natties do you have” “ we won a gymnastics title”. “ blah blah blah” It’s 2024.. now we can all pay off players and they don’t like that they don’t have the cheaters advantage any longer on programs like Mizzou, Ole Miss, SC etc. That’s just scratching the surface!

Any time a retard says muh we didn't pay players before and now we can, I just laugh.

Because some LSU fans are too illiterate to know Missouri has been in the SEC 13 years & ain’t going nowhere. They think LA is some kind of paradise. They live on their past successes but refuse to acknowledge the new CF landscape is changing the world for all “blue bloods”. Yeah, I'd say all this bullshite, too, if I was trying to grasp at straws with some kind of argument of LSU vs Missouri. You got nothing. Jack shite.

That’s certainly the implication of the remarks in this thread and on this board.

If you need me to explain the semantic range of the word “implication,” I’d be happy to.

His frickn wife was from there. She is always going to win. LSU is a good job so why wouldn’t he move. Not like he left Mizzou because it is a Mountain West job. That’s how it’s painted by many a swamp rat.

Miss or Miz or Zoo or whatever they want to identify as, never learn to read. People are aware they are in the SEC. People don't care that they are in the SEC is the point. The college football landscape has changed many times over the last 25 years. LSU has won multiple SEC and National Championships. The little tigers from the Midwest have not.

The real butt hurt for LSU fans started with a 1st and goal from the 1 with under a minute left.

Goal line stand

I’m sure that makes both your double wide home and your double wide wife much more hospitable.

But this change is like NO change ever seen in CF history. It’s a bidding war and it’s not about the brand name as much how much a program is willing to pay. That is bad news for “blue bloods”

Eh. The change has resulted in a Texas, OSU, Penn St and Notre Dame final four.

It’s not like it’s UConn versus Western Michigan in the finals.

I've never seen that, I think anyone with a brain knew that Mizzou would make a decent hire.
