Yes, we know Missouri is a cultural wasteland. You are trying to piss on our lambo while you ride a bike to work. Funny thing is, you are still wrong

SLAM isn't that great. I wouldn't be surprised if the Arky museum is much better.

We don't need to create correlations for that, the list was provided. End of discussion there

Why are you posting in a thread when you are apathetic about the subject matter?

I don't care if we have a 5 trillion dollar art museum or not. It doesn't make no contribution to the decision I'll someday make when I want to find a permanent home. None whatsoever.

Slam isn't great. But take a look at the pieces actually in Crystal Bridges. They got a Singer Sargent and a Cassat. Pretty slim pickings after that. SLAM beats that easily.

Here's some new fuel for the fire.

Who has more new posters on SECRant?

Mizzou or Arky?

How about bigger fanbase on the rant

Of course, Missouri is twice as populous, so that needs to be considered

considering your quote is "the most talked about new museum in a generation" the criteria here is: most talked about among new museums.

A subjective list. And it is pathetically dishonest to say that link even claims NWA is one of the top 10 places in the world to visit. It makes no such claim. Let's just start throwing out random lists.

My parents looked at retiring in NWA. It is a great place. Personally, I'd live there over Columbia, MO. But stop with the ridiculous claims.

Wow, I never knew Arkansas was such a cultural mecca. Do you guys have a good symphony hall? Do they ever play Shostakovich or Prokofiev? My wife is a huge fan of the Russian composers.

To be honest, it is certainly not a top 50 art museum for the planet, not even close. However, it is very possibly a top 25 museum of American art. It is ridiculous to state no one from outsideof Arkansas would make a trip to visit. In early August when the Rockwell exhibit opened I saw three very recognizeable non-douchebag celebrities touring while I was there.

Even without the art collection itself it is a stunningly beautiful building with an incredibly low environmental impact.

If you are into a city filled with toothless inbreds, and overweight sweaty women then Fayetteville is for you.
