It's just you OP. They've been pretty well behaved from where I'm sitting.

State fans believe anywhere between 6-6 to 8-4 like any other year.
The only delusional people are the one who pick State last every year, which has only happen twice since 2008.

I’m a Reb and I don’t think they are unreasonable or insufferable. They return a lot and have the one of if not the SEC’s most veteran QB.

OM fans are equally as delusional

I didn’t downvote you fyi but honestly I can’t argue for or against you bc I haven’t seen many predictions from our side and have done limited research.
I need to go sit on the beach and read some of those mags that come out in the summer.

This link has nothing to do with this board and doesn't support OP's statement.

If you would stop listening to Rosebowl, the rest of the fanbase is pretty reasonable with 7- 9 wins.

It was a 9-4 team last year that returns a super experienced QB, basically the whole o-line, plenty of skill talent, and a ton in the front 6 of the defense. Some guys to replace in the secondary but I don’t expect any major issues.
You’re also talking about a team that handled A&M and Arkansas last year, beat Ole Miss on the road, and led in Baton Rouge for three quarters.
Nobody is picking them to win the West but plenty of reason to think they can have a good year. Bama is the only game that I don’t think they really have a chance in, I’ll just believe it when I see it, that series has been so lopsided since 2008. I don’t think they beat LSU but that series has been competitive in the last decade and the game is in Starkville so an upset there wouldn’t be the most shocking thing in the world. Everything else appears to be a toss up at worst as we sit here today.
Questions about the new head coach and new OC aren’t unwarranted, but State has turned itself into a relatively high floor program the last 15 years regardless of head coach. Even Joe Moorhead, who was a failure at State, still went 14-12 in two years.
Arnett may not end up being Mullen or Leach but I am not expecting a return to the early to mid 2000’s and there’s reason to think he has a ton of potential.

I hope you didn’t obtain a degree from LSU. I’m t would be a stain on the university.

This isn’t saying much if you look into it. But a win is a win I guess.

There we go lmao. 7-5 per usual

I mean has anyone said something drastically different than that?
The only pushback I’ve seen from State fans is on the fact that they’ll probably be picked last in the West when they’ve finished there once since 2010. Nobody is telling you to expect something drastically different from what they’ve done recently, I think that’s kinda the point. If they just maintain the status quo then they’ll be a good team. Their ceiling is still probably 10-2 in an absolute best case scenario.
I have them going 8-4 myself.

No but the same teams that State beat last year are getting more credit despite also having coaching turnover. State is getting dinged by many in the media for having to bring in a new OC when 4 other schools in the West are doing the same.

You may be trolling I don’t know but what did he say there that wasn’t factual? He’s basically saying we go 6-6 to 8-4 and a very outside shot at 9-3. There is nothing unreasonable about that. You saying “7-5 per usual” falls right in the middle of our thoughts of how we are going to be this year.

Are there really State fans in real life? I’ve never met one tbh.
