I was gonna say you deserve an NCAA bid if you win tonight, but frick that, you deserve shite.

Believe tonight is their 21st, which is just a game or two more than most schools in the conference. I don't think an extra home game against directional state university is a benefit to their RPI or tournament chances

We had 17 last year and 15 the year before that. It just worked out that way this year.
The scheduling deal, as has been discussed multiple times on here, isn't as bad as it seems. Dayton, North Dakota State, Stephen F Austin, Jacksonville State, Green Bay - all were pretty good NCAA teams when the schedule was made. They just were all bad this year and it killed us. Dayton has been a tournament staple - went to the Elite 8 just a couple years ago, and they are 13-15 this year all of a sudden.
Hell, even Southern Miss won 27 games the year we scheduled them for a four year deal. They haven't broke 10 since we started playing them though.
Next year we get Cincy at home, a Big 12/SEC challenge game, we have a Last Vegas tournament that has Arizona State, Baylor and a Big Ten team, and maybe a little luck and we can have at least a couple of our mid majors have decent years.
Any team that goes 10-8 or better in this year's SEC deserves a bid, period.

Actually tonight is home game #20 which I agree is too many. Not sure what was behind the way the schedule was done.
But I agree that is too many home games and that has hurt our NCAA tournament chances.
Now I realize that Coach Howland was trying to build confidence with this being a young team with no Seniors. In that respect it has worked. Now we just have to keep winning and eventually they will not be able to deny us entry into the tournament.
I am sure next year will be much more difficult and it should be along more road games as the team will a veteran group that will be capable of winning on the road against quality teams.

Dang dude, are ya' gonna go tattle on us? Be cool, man.

So MSU decided to play pre-Conference Home games instead of whoring themselves out to a Casino or Island Tournament. Why should they be punished because they chose their fans over ESPNs midnight to 10 am schedule ?

And most schools have played 17-19 home games. Tennessee has benefited in the RPI by playing so many road and neutral site games. State has not benefitted from that many home games. Playing bad teams at home does not help you get into the tournament

Damn, it's way too early for you to be this pissed about tonight's game. At least wait for halftime to melt.
