First game is in Starkville in 2028

Second game is in Lubbock Texas in 2029

I like the series. And I like it much better than these neutral site games. I always like to go to these games if I can to experience a different school.

Although by 2029... Who knows how many CFB games I will attend

I am ok with 2019, 2021, and 2023. I am not ok with 2024 and 2027. I see no reason to play those games.

But as you pointed out earlier, we do have some solid home and homes with P5 schools.

Funny the Arizona Series was scheduled by the current Florida and Alabama Athletic Directors. And the Kansas State series was scheduled on twitter with the infamous John Currie.

Freaking Mississippi. Can't sign contracts longer than 4 years, but sign deals to play games in 10 years

That being said, I like this deal. Cowbell echoes will travel a long way in west Texas

Actually they do ring cowbells in Lubbock Texas, does this mean... The unthinkable....

That another school will allow State to bring in cowbells. Now this is a home and home I can get behind.

Do they? I know they launch the tortillas. I remember that from the 2005 Cotton Bowl.

Actually it is just one big bell. I do not watch many Texas Tech games, and I remember hearing a very faint one at a game. Though this makes more sense.

Lubbock would be an interesting trip for a random regular season game.

I'm tired of a lot of these road games. Tulane and Memphis make sense, and we have historically played them home and home going back to the 70's. But, if Cohen can change anything at all at this point, he should replace the Troy series with UAB. UAB will be in their new facility downtown by that time, and we have a big alumni base in the BHM metro.

Yea, I'd understand stilling playing the every 3 years road game at Memphis or Tulane (UAB when the stadium is done). Big cities with bigger stadiums that are an easy drive from Starkville and most of the alumni base. Even games like the ULL game at the Superdome.

Going to Troy is ridiculous.

Went to Lubbock when the Rebs played there many years ago. It sucked.

Coming from a Texan, West Texas is a boring arse poop stain.

If visiting other stadiums is your thing, go ahead and do it. If you think going to Texas Tech would be a fun road trip, stay at home and watch it on TV.

I agree 100%. We should choose where we are playing these games. And Birmingham, Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, and maybe even Houston with our alumni base should be the cities we schedule these opponents. And it is good for these schools too to play at better stadiums like the Titans Stadium than it is for their home stadium.
