Starting in 2018 Mississippi State and Southern Miss will play each other annually in the Ole Miss Memorial Bowl held in Oxford.
Dan Mullen stated that he's excited about the prospect of continuing to get wins in Oxford after Ole Miss ceases playing football.
The Trophy for the series will be a golden pole.

And it will have ZERO national significance or interest, just like the Egg Bowl.

The Egg Bowl had more national significance more recently than any game LSU has been in in the last 3 years. And no, playing Bama doesn't count.

They should just play in Ole Miss stadium while they are on probation.

Look at the last 6 or 7 southern miss outings vs Ole Miss and you'll see why your school's too big a puss to schedule them anymore.

State leads the series 16-12-1 and has won the last four in a row. Ole Miss went 2-5 n their last 7 against USM from 1977-84. USM did have State's number in the 80's. Tulane also had LSU's number from 1979-82 winning 3 of 4 with one of them being 48-7. All teams suffer against their lesser rival in a few stretches. What's the point?

We don't schedule them because they insist on a Home and Home. And they have a high school stadium with a capacity of 35,000, in wooden bleachers, in the middle of a city with no parking.

This is exactly what I've been saying we should do with Arkansas State. It'd be an easy yearly win, and we could do it at WMS and give the GSD people a game to go to that would be packed

Ole misss stadium was about that same size till about 5 years ago. It didn't have lights until my senior year of high school. They played every big draw game in Jackson (a neutral field) back then. That may be the exuse now but it hasn't been for long. Just admit you're scared or start playing them again.
And I've been in that stadium. When fla state was man enough to go there. It didn't have wooden seats and parking was fine.

We were at 34,000 by 1950
We were over 60,000 by 2002.
It's ok to use facts and statistics in your argument. But it helps if they're accurate.
