Last I heard, Tennessee fans were utterly disappointed in a 6-6 season.

I don't know where you heard that. Sadly, we are all pretty excited about the 6-6 season and believe our future to be bright.

Did we not sell all of our allotment at the last 3 Peach Bowls we went too?

Now if you are talking about which team would garner higher ratings, then it might make sense.

I hate bowl games. Big fricking circle jerk. I might watch 3 total in entirety. Only people who care about all the bowl games are the schools fans, and degenerate gamblers.

Tennessee fans are pretty fired up about the future right now. We would bring thousands upon thousands of fans to the Gator Bowl.

Tennessee travels as well as anyone the nation for bowl games.

At least 60-40 over Michigan fans who are wondering what their future will be.

I have seen more Tennessee posters on this thread than I have seen in the Rant all season long.

Why does Tennessee get a better Bowl than UGA, yall finished with Idenical records and Georgia beat yall head up like a drum. ??????

You're making a big deal out of nothing, IMO. If it's not the BCS, I wouldn't get worked up about any of the other games, unless you got completely left out or something.

One of the UT beat writers at the SECCG tweeted that the GB officials there were mentioning that they were wanting a team on a winning streak.

That's true, but State deserves better and they've been waiting on this and wanting it badly. I really do feel for them for getting screwed in the bowls. However, Nashville would be fun. If it's not BCS, all that matters is how cool the city is. Plus it's not that long of a trip for State fans...

From all indications, if Auburn holds on to win, it will be Tennessee vs Michigan in the Gator Bowl. Is it necessarly fair? No. But Tennessee has a national brand and carries ALOT more weight than Mississippi State does. Bowls are all about money, and UT-UM is a cash cow.

Tennessee has a national brand? Please explain this to me.

I'm not good with numbers and stats, but somebody who pays more attention might can help. Just doesn't seem right, does it...

I hate to say it but if all of this actually happens, I won't be mad. It does make a lot of sense financially. State will travel better to nashville. It will be an impressive crowd there. I'm not going either way, but we definitely deserve better.

I agree with that. In the end, nothing you can do about it but enjoy what you're dealt. It's like most things in life...

Ha..ha...

Told you fools that State would get overlooked because other schools have a better base.

When was the last time the team that finished 5th in the west made it to:

Sugar
Cotton
Peach(Chick-fil-a)
Capitol One
Outback

Things have been worse. I spent a new years in Nashville when I lived there. Good town, gonna be a good crowd, and probably lesser competition. We don't know we're going there but it won't be the end of the world. It will definitely be a little disappointing.
