Top to bottom? Maybe not. However, if you put the top 3 teams from last season (Bama, UGA, Auburn) against any other conference's top 3, I'd be extremely confident the SEC would go at least 2-1.

Let's just nip this in the bud....we all know the SEC is and has been the best conference since the early 90s. For about 5 years or so, we've started seeing #2 or #3 team from Big10 placed against #6 from SEC and similar matchups. People have relied on these things to knock the SEC down.
The single biggest disappoint though is Auburn. Losing to FSU in 2013 and then to UCF.
There are 5 major conferences but in the past 20 years the SEC has accounted for 11 or the 20 national titles.
ACC has 4
Big12 has 2
Big10 has 2
Pac has 1
CFP been around 4 years with 16 teams selected
Pac has 2
Big12 has 2
Big10 has 3
ACC has 4
SEC has 5
Moorehead better get his act together or his lop-headed wife can hit the bricks.

The top 2-3 teams were really good. The league just wasn't deep last year. We went right around .500 in bowl games as well.

Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan State have all been better programs over the last 5 years than Auburn and LSU.
