Most on here say the same thing about Auburn being competitive with Bama this year. They don't get it...

Being competitive and winning are two different things. I have already said multiple times that Bama is the best team in the country right now.

To the OP, I bet VT fans thought that JMU had NO chance as well.

Yes, but if your blowing the defensive line backwards all day shouldn't you be able to get 1 inch with anybody?

Little Tyson Lee's fault he was suppose to pitch the ball to Dixon who would have walked in the endzone untouched

LSU owns State. This is the bottom line.

Even when State is decent, and LSU sucks, we make it a point to whip poor little Miss State. The new fans under Mullen seem oblivious to this truth.

This weekend will be no different.

as bad as miles has the suck

You said it, my cowbell toting friend. Miles has "the suck".

I'm sure you enjoy sucking hard on a nice fat wad of wintergreen, so please join with me in educating my Tiger brethren in how a real school cheers on their team!

I've got a fever, and the only cure is more STAY-yuh-ATE!

To get warmed up, watch this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1edIlnUeCA

Now you're ready to become a STAY-yuh-ATE! Fan in 3 easy steps:

1) When the Fighting Kazoo band belts out the only 3 notes their kazoos will play, quickly spit tobackey in your date's Coke. If it's Wintergreen, she'll just think you spiked it with peppermint schnapps and will never be the wiser. Remember now: spit, don't swallow!
2) Yell "GO-AH STAY-yuh-ATE!!!" at top volume, taking care not to spray tobackey all over your friends. Stark-Vegans are gentlemen, after all.
3) Ring that cowbell round your date's neck, kiss her and say "MOO!"

Repeat 3x

Now you're ready to be an official STAY-yuh-ATE! fan just like these genuine articles:

Obviously not everyone shares the same sentiment towards this game.Seems to me everyone LSU pays lately has a chance. The Tigers do not have the killer instinct on offense and I expect a close game.

Ahem. Don't put words in my mouth, sonny. I did not call the Stark-Vegans rednecks as that would be an insult to both groups. Stark-Vegans have taken redneck to places rednecks never dreamed possible. They were cowbell before cowbell was cool.

No, three times from the LSU 20, including twice from the LSU 2 for a total of one yard:

Ms 3-10 at Ls20 Anthony Dixon rush for 18 yards to the LS2, 1ST DOWN MS, out-of-bounds (Chris Hawkins).
Ms 1-G at Ls02 Anthony Dixon rush for 1 yard to the LS1 (Al Woods).
Ms 2-G at Ls01 Timeout LSU, clock 01:22.
Ms 2-G at Ls01 Anthony Dixon rush for no gain to the LS1 (Chad Jones).
Ms 3-G at Ls01 Timeout LSU, clock 01:15.
Ms 3-G at Ls01 Tyson Lee pass incomplete to Marcus Green.
Ms 4-G at Ls01 Tyson Lee rush for no gain to the LS1

THis is going to be a tough game unless we get much better QB play. MSU offense is way better than Vandy.

As opposed to the moral victory of a close loss against a mid-tier SEC west school in the biggest game in 15 years?

Can someone please explain to me how in the hell Ole Miss fans can come into any thread and talk smack? Didn't they get beat by a D2 school this year, and are sitting at 1-1, with a signature win over Tulane?

How do they get a pass on smack talking at this point in the year? C'mon man!

who's touting that as a moral victory.

pretty sure it's not our most important game in 15 years either.

You shouldn't because MSU fans were VERY optimistic prior to that game only to lay an egg against a pretty average SEC team. The difficulty putting up points against a below average SEC defense was especially demoralizing.

All you have to do is go back to this board prior to the game.

I know you don't want to admit it. But, consider the following:

Mullen's offseason comments and guarantees...the overt optimism of MSU fans ...MSU had run over a very poor Memphis team in game 1...game was SEC opener at home...against a supposed beatable team...in primetime...on ESPN...

If you say so. Does it really feel less disappointing if you pretend it wasn't as big as it really was for you guys?

our games to work towards bowl eligibility in 2007 were bigger.

i can't say it wasn't dissapointing but there are still 10 games left.
