Michigan, Washington, and Texas all wanted that 4th spot to go to FSU. That tells you they got it right.

Why have you dodged your real rival for over a decade?

Liberty isn't P5

Shouldn't matter.

They went undefeated and were left out due to politics.

They literally cannot do anything else.

I said Liberty should have gotten SOME consideration. That's all they would ever get, and that is part of what is wrong with CFB. The portal, unlimited transfers, and general corruption being another issue ...

Interesting to see Longhorns on this board so eager to d**k ride Bama and the SEC before they're even in the conference...

Not riding Bama, we did that back in September

DeLoss was right about Misery

It's a shame we don't get to bring you back to the reality that you ran away from next fall due to the schedule makers protecting you. Maybe '25?

Hoping for an all-SEC NC game with Texas and Alabama

Bama had two 1,000 yard receivers out for the 2021 CFP loss to Georgia.

Florida State also got some consideration.

They were dead last in at least two of the (actual, real) five criteria used by the committee.

Another year, they get in. This year, there were too many teams in contention and they lost out because they were scored the lowest.

Terrible for those kids and coaches. But the school and their conference have had chances in the past to improve their odds of making a playoff and chose not to.

The debate for who should have got in the playoffs will never end. I am just glad the 4 team playoff is ending this year.

Maybe something else they could've done is not play the weakest schedule of anyone in contention

This is dumb. They’re in a power 5 conference and their OOC games included LSU and Florida. It’s not their fault that Florida sucks.

have looked absolutely abysmal last weekend when everyone was watching?

This is their fault. And it’s the reason the CFP should’ve cited without referring to an injury. It’s not about the injury. It’s that the injury resulted in them being a not CFP team.

He didn't say a damn thing about Alabama. He said it's absurd that FSU got left out because of an injury. Which it is. Stop being a little drama-manufacturing bitch, OP.

Argues that if one of the playoff teams has an injury in the semifinals, FSU should replace them

All fsu has to do is beat Georgia and they can have a legitimate argument for the title. But some are suggesting they boycott the game.

Just bow up and win and many would jump on their bandwagon. Someone would reward them a split natty.

Yea I don't agree with him on that. The only thing the committee should've done different was drop them to #5 right after FSU's QB got injured.

Or immediately after seeing number two qb play

sorry but I disagree. you had three undefeated conference Champs, they should all be in. then Texas wins the head to head over Bama. Bama lost to Texas at home. end of story. FSU got robbed.

Could’ve joined the SEC 30 years ago rather than taking the easier path to a NC.

They made their bed and reaped the benefits of that decision 25 and 10 years ago. Don’t really feel sorry for them now.

This is an excellent point that has gotten lost in all the hysteria.

Bowden freely acknowledged this and didn't apologize for it. It worked for FSU... until this year.

Add to that FSU's opposition to implementing the 12-team playoff this year.

Actions have consequences...
