It's actually a whole hour, dwi.

I certainly do not believe many UGA or Bama fans will be watching. This is a great story, one of the greatest turnaround in the history of College Football.

Do they talk about how Gus choked away the natty and then proceeded to completely collapse in 2014?

Completely collapse while having a winning record? Surely you jest.

Guess you'll have to watch to find out.

The closure though, you'll have to seek that on your own.

8-5?

BTW, SEC Network is running the SEC Storied: Miracles on the Plains, not ESPN. Those are usually called 30-for-30.

From what I gather, the story is that these "miracles" took place because the #AUFamily needed something to help them recover from the poisoning of Toomer's and perhaps as karma for Bama.

That narrative seems to ignore the fact that the games covered took place two years after the poisoning and that Auburn had one mediocre season and a historically terrible one in those two years. They also were outscored by Georgia 83-7 and by Alabama 91-14 in that time span and watched their archrival win back-to-back titles. That seems to complicate the narrative that this was a karmic event. To be honest, the SEC Storied documentaries in general have not been to the level of most of the 30 for 30s.

I understand that it makes for good tv and it is an interesting story. I just say wait a decade or two before making it. Bama still hasn't even made a return trip to the stadium

Why is there a documentary on events that occurred 2-4 years ago? We all remember everything that happened, why waste money on this?

By your line of "logic", why do they make documentaries on anything that happened in the past? I guess you think these were a waste of money as well....

Ended 150 years ago

Ended 70 years ago

What a waste... right?

I'm sure they'll mention the poisoning of the tree, because it's almost impossible to discuss the rivalry without your 'outliers' coming up.

But what you're suggesting is ITAT absurd.

You're comparing an event that took place two years ago to an event that took place before my great grandfather was alive. Nice straw man

I agree, but the commercial says something like "Healing through football" and shows Toomer's corner.

There's no question that those games are objectively interesting and I'm sure there are good stories to be had there. But I'm not sure they're going about it in the right way.

On a side note, I've always thought it would be interesting to have a documentary about Cade Foster or some other famous "choker" to see how they coped with the event in the immediate aftermath and today.

If ESPN is into making 30 for 30 specials over luck, I am amazed they haven't made a 30 for 30 special on LSU's team in 2007. Luckiest national championship team in the history of college football

Also comparing two football games to arguably the most significant event in American history.

OOOOH...I thought you'd read something about it. I didn't realize you'd extrapolated all that from a heading.

Carry on. I though you were being serious.

It's too late for Bama fans to try and distance themselves from him...
