Agreed. It would be completely different if they were using artificial noise makers, cowbells, etc.
Complaining ab the vandy whistler has jumped the shark. Is it annoying? Yes.. is it worth this much handwringing? Hell no.
Someone on Twitter was crying bc his 93 y/o mother "cant" listen to LSU/Vandy games on the radio due to the whistlers.. come on now

Get a group together and get behind him with those air horns they use on boats, and blow it the same time he whistles.
Or use it against Vandy players. When stadium comes to confiscate, have the next guy up blowing the same horn.

I agree and thought about that after sitting through a tourney game with Vandy in Hoover a few years ago. THought about a whistle or even an airhorn to drown out that crap and show him/them and all Vandy fans how obnoxious it is.
But, artificial noisemakers are not allowed in any SEC games or venues, with exception of cowbells at Moo State.

Next time Vandy plays in the box I am eating white beans for breakfast, boiled garlic for lunch, and red beans for dinner everyday for a week before the series. Then I am going to find this guy, sit behind him, and just let the farts go. I won't wear underwear either. He is going to experience the worst unfiltered gas a human can produce. If he moves. I move.

The tv broadcasts have somehow muted partially his whistle, but God, on the Radio, it sounds horrible. I can't listen to a Vandy game on the radio.

Last night's game, no. It was bad.
Based on the linked video, the whistler gets preferential seats from Vandy. Another reason their whole program, from top to bottom, is chickenshit.

Why shouldn't he? Vanderbilt athletics in general don't have too many faithful fans. Give the devil his due, the guy consistently shows up and supports Vanderbilt. He's earned the preferential seats.

i fricking hate the whistler, he needs a beer dumped on him. Ive been watching LSU baseball for 40 years and by far he is the most obnoxious fan we've encountered. He makes games unwatchable.

Either that or he is like the chump that carries around the title belt and can find the camera and mic that is set up and nobody bothers to say anything to them be cause they are "superfans". Peep the video clip again and you can see the the field mic sitting right next to him.
