I had the honor of meeting Coach Mac at a golf tournament years after he retired. He was so gracious. We talked for about 10 minutes and he answered some questions I had about teams and players he coached. Before I left, I told him what an honor it was to meet him. I’ll always remember his reply. “ Well, it’s always an honor for me to meet a Tiger fan”. WOW
Younger people today may never know what real class is, compared to times past.
RIP Coach Mac.. you were and always will be a credit to LSU.

I’m not Catholic but I always have liked Cardinal Dolan when I have seen him interviewed. He seems like a good dude. I wish him the best in retirement.

I had the opportunity to meet him at an exhibition match he played to open Le Triomphe in Lafayette.
He was very nice to everybody but he was also enjoying a drink or two.
RIP Fuzzy
P.S. It was quite a day…Andy Bean, Fred Couples, Lanny Watkins and Jan Stephenson were also there.

I actually bought into the preseason hype but after the Tech game and seeing Clemson fall apart, it was obvious to me that 8-4 was more likely where we would end up. I didn’t realize that Vandy was as good as they turned out to be.
