Yeah I was high on him after the Clemson game combined with his stat line in mop duty last year and the fact that Heupel turned Hooker around. There was good reason for optimism at that point.

Milton aint Hooker though nor anything remotely close to him.

Milton 's problems are all mental and he's another practice warrior like JG was. It's too late to "fix" him at this point though.

Seems like Heupel is trying to get him to the NFL for his loyalty to us last year. That's all i can figure.

I do know one thing for a fact though.

If Nico is the real deal and had been starting this entire season he would be much much better at this point than what we are getting from Milton.

Give Milroe some more time he’s just 19 and a sophomore. Now Milton is shite and hasn’t progressed at all in his 5 years of college

Hopeful expectations sometimes get dashed like that. I'm glad that no one ( I hope not ) has some of my post from back when Mizzou could win the East.

Agreed.

It's an insult to Milroe to be compared to Milton because Milroe is still very young and has tonnes of potential.

Oh it was more than hopeful expectations. He was going around like a cocky a-hole and still does. He then abandoned Milton in the first game and berates anyone that doesn't hate Milton as much as he does.

I’m not defending Milton or claiming he’s a good QB, but he’s not the only problem with our passing game. Every game WRs drop open passes for TDs/long gains. Every game.

I’m also not a fan of how conservative the play calling has become, but that might be a reflection of Milton and the receiving core

I'm not defending the drops but the recievers never have a damn clue if he is gonna dart one at them or loft it. He does nothing consistently. We had a free play and he of all time elected to run it instead of throwing a bomb. Not only that but he ran out of bounds to avoid a hit when he could have gotten the first down. The play max Johnson ran in would have been on the 2-3 yard line if milton did the same. He's the most athletically gifted player with the mind of someone that 5'9 160lb's. Infuriating

A good QB would make our WRs look all world. Would bet everything i own on that.

We have a good oline that's going to complete waste in our passing game.

You can literally just look at Milton 's body language and tell he's bad.

Zero it factor. Absolutely zero.

And what kind of message do you think it sends the team when they sit down to watch fil and they see their leader...their QB run out of bounds two times...one time literally killing the first drive of the game? It sends a message of WEAKNESS and Heuepel should have benched him immediately out of principle alone for doing that weak pussy arse BS.

Milton doesn't care about winning games. He simply wants to be the next AR ...a bad QB that gets drafted high on his physical abilities alone.

You can just see it in how he plays and acts. Zero passion whatsoever besides a lane little dance here and there

Yeah, his touch is off. He also usually throws behind guys when they go over the middle and doesn’t really anticipate well on longer routes. It’s so strange to compare this season with how he looked in the Clemson game last year.

He did absolutely truck a few defenders on his runs though. I’m thinking of those two run option plays where he demolished the DBs. I think we need to run those more often

Milroe is NOT a QB. He is an athlete pretending to be a QB. All QBs being fairly bad, most of the team wants Milroe as their QB mostly because of he is the same skin color. Saban wants to be very PC so he is going along with it not matter what Rees may want. Rees just isn't good enough to call plays that match Milroe's talent.

Yeah he trucked them AFTER getting an earful on the sidelines for running out of bounds twice instead of taking easy first downs.

Guy has zero heart and most likely can only be motivated by fear of getting benched.

Like i said, Milton should have been benched on principle alone for running out of bounds instead of taking an EASY first down to keep our first drive alive against A&M. That was inexcusable.

I'm not even going to get into how bad of a passer he is.

Let's just focus on this one and simple detail.

Since you know so much about football what kind of message do you think it sends to the rest of the team seeing their leader running out of bounds instead of taking what would have been an easy first down that would require taking a hit?

Please tell me with your amazing football knowledge.

Did you even freakin ever play the sport to be defending this guy like this as our QB?

And yes you are defending him. 95 percent of it is MILTON 's fault.

I don't care that he sucks. I just care that he sucks and Heupel is doing nothing about it.

I'm not afraid to admit i was wrong about him having a good last year at Tennessee. There was decent reason to believe he could turn it around this year.

Well he has had every opportunity in the world this year and failed miserably. Next man up.

Mediocrity should never be tolerated at any position... especially mediocre players who don't give 100 percent to get the next first down on offense. Running out of bounds instead of taking a hit to get the first down is a very getting benched worthy offense.

He did but it was after it was too late. It was like he figured out in the third quarter that he was 6 ft 6 and weighs 250 lb and can run fast. If he has that sane energy in the first half we should have atleast 3 more points. He's bad. Like gurantano bad

He's so bad that it's painful to watch even with our elite rushing attack and pass rushing defense.

I bet the WRs are all secretly praying that he gets benched regardless of what they say to the media. It's only their entire futures that we are talking about.

Crazy how one player can affect another's future NFL draft stock like this. Something that they have been working their asses off for since early childhood.

Our WRs are barely getting any real passing reps.

This year is terrible for our WR recruiting and it will definitely be used against us on the recruiting trail you can bet.

BS. When i see enough solid evidence that a player is bad i call it out. Simple.

That Austin Peay game was the worst performance I've ever seen from a Tennessee QB. If that's turning on someone too quickly then so be it.

I was right though and Nico should have been getting a lot of reps immediately in preparation for the latter part of our season.

Now we are stuck with what's arguably our worst starting QB in our program's history heading into the most difficult stretch of our schedule.

You don't seem to understand how urgent of an emergency it was when he couldn't complete one downfield pass against Austin freakin Peay.

You guys are just effin snowflakes who can't handle the truth.

It's not that you're calling it out. You're doing more than that and you're attacking anyone that isn't up to your standard of hating on Milton. It's your delivery that's an issue. Chill a bit. You bite at us and bite at every piece of bait dropped in the water. Let some things pass.

Fine but i don't hate Milton i just hate that he seems to have an iron clad position as the starter. It scares tf out of me about Heupel moving forward.

Think about it. What happens if Nico really is a bust and Heupel stubbornly sticks with him for years or the QB after Nico?

This is a coaching issue. If your QB runs out of bounds instead of taking an easy first down he should not be on the field for at least the next series on offense.

Maybe Heupel is trying to save a possible redshirt for Nico? I'm not sure tbh.

The entire situation raises lots of questions and concerns though.
