Mike Hamilton is on the hottest seat.

I can't see Richt in trouble. Does his allegiance to his staff (Martinez) resemble the failure of Phat Phil to change? Ultimately, it was Phil's loyalty that probably cost him the job.

That's because plungers have wooden handles and tend to catch fire with friction.

i agree with you Berry. Loyalty to assts is a good quality unless taken too far. Im sure it contributed to C. Fulmer's ultimate demise, and could play a role if C. Richt starts to flounder. ultimately if those guys' values dictate loyalty over self preservation, it's hard to argue with such a lofty notion, though it drives us mon. am qbs crazy.

It absolutely did. Randy Sanders is a great example, and some would argue the same about John Chavis.

unfortunately, when you change assts willy-nilly, sometimes you get worse than you had. i'm sure Coaches Fulmer and Richt are well aware of that.
it would be fair to say Clawsen, though never given much of a shot, was worse than Sanders, and a similar case involving UT-UGA where Ramsey was a disaster who replaced a very competent Kines.

Same thing goes with head coaches - look at Fulmer vs. Kiffin. Wittingham vs. Weiss. Coker vs. Shannon.

We don't produce players, but Phil Fulmer, Mack Brown, and Steve Spurrier are all from Tennessee.

Tennessee fans now referring to Fulmer in this way...priceless.

No,Les will do fine. How come you Tennessee pussies produce so few instate players? Since the 50s,UT,has never had many instate players.Ya'll should be banned from talking football on message boards.
I swear, you never cease to amaze me with your blatant stupidity.
Do you realize Tennessee has the historical edge over every SEC program in terms of prestige outside of Alabama?

LSU fans will crucify you for speaking badly about their new messiah.

Lots of Bama friends of mine couldnt understand why we hate(d) Saban for what he did. I cant wait till he leaves Bama to see their reactions.
Oh wait, you dont really think he'll stay at Bama long term do you? He's a 5 year max guy wherever he goes. Did it a Mich State, LSU, Dolphins, and Bama next. Each time he moved, he says "this is home" and catch phrases like that.

Ross,
Do you feel like Tuberville's loyalty to his asst's resulted in his demise?

I can definately see more ADs on the hotseat than coaches - starting with Tennessee, Auburn, and Arkansas.
Why Arkansas? He just got here.

I don't know if Hamilton is really on the hot seat. Bruce Pearl was a great hire, and the administration loves him. Now, if Kiffin is fired in the next few years you can gaurantee Hammy's going to be kicked out with him. I'm not opposed to Fulmer becoming AD, if the position opens up some time soon.

It played an integral part in his demise, yes.

The answer to a coach on the hot seat is in this thread
The answer lies with you!

I agree that it's Saban ! For the reasons you refered to as well as the following.
1) Saban has always pushed the limits of the spirit of rules regarding recruiting . The new limits on recruiting will not help.
2) Alabama has historically run a cheating program. The NCAA has said to Alabama.......
it will risk the death penalty or something really bad if this happens again.
Can Bamma or Saban live in this straight jacket ?
