Over their past 5 meetings, Alabama is 5-0 against Auburn and 4-1 against both LSU and Georgia. If Alabama is in rough shape, the schools they are beating must be smoldering trash dumps.
Those were games coached by Saban or with majority of Saban’s players. Y’all will lose to both Georgia and LSU next year. Y’all are in big trouble and refuse to believe it, even though you see it right in front of you.

What’s sad is Bama had the talent to win it all. The cook did not mix the ingredients correctly. He had 3 awesome running backs. He had 4-5 really good if not potentially great receivers. His line was solid. So what happened?
DeBoer is way over his head. He failed to instill discipline and make the players fear him. He choose like so many to become the advocate general for the players. Listen to his pressers.. He is always praising and speaking so softly with tons of “You Knows”. When someone uses that phrase repeatedly they are lying in my opinion or are so ignorant of the situation they know nothing else to say.
DeBoer will never be elite. Success at Fresno, South Dakota or even Washington does not equate to success at Alabama. Our talent level will decline over next few years with nil and portal. We will be a good 8-9 win team under DeBoer.
Mike Shula never had talent like DeBoer had this year. DeBoer’s offensive philosophy is a mystery to me. I never did grasp his methods to his madness. When I just begin to think he’ll run to setup the pass, he passes to setup the run. When Milroe was tanking, he never would pull him and give other guys a chance. He hurt his team by not stepping up and benching Milroe when he was off.
DeBoer will be here for awhile. Too much money for a buyout.
His only hope is to sit down with Saban in next few weeks and learn how to run an elite program. Otherwise, he is doomed and Bama is doomed.
Saban did not leave because he could not adapt. He could have, but why should he. He’s rich, has wonderful reputation, the espn deal I’m sure was always on the table and he is getting older. Good for him.
We could competed with decent qb and coherent offensive mindset.
RTR.

Also need to remember that Bama had a golden opportunity to break the color barrier by hiring Coach Sylvester Croom. But they just could not pull the trigger there. And allowed State to hire him instead.
And Croom gets vilified here and on other boards but he did an excellent job of righting the State football program and leaving it in much better shape than he found it.
I don’t know if he would have done any better than Shula record wise but the team would have been better disciplined under him than they were under Shula.
And it goes without saying that the PR victory for Bama would have been unprecedented had they hired him.
