It's amazing how that man has turned his career around. He was too young and too inexperienced when he got to Alabama in 2003. He has recovered nicely since getting fired from Alabama 8 years ago.

The right players make the coaches look great. Shula was Cam's biggest issue until this year...its like he finally realized "man this kid is special."

Shula deserves credit for helping Cam work through his progressions. I'll give the devil his due. Why isn't he a HC yet? I heard about three teams were talking to him.

Bama fans would try to claim a pile of shite if it could win something.

I'm happy for him.The Shula family is nothing but class and that just isn't a good fit in tuscaloosa.

Saban fits the mold of the win-at-all-cost mentality that is required for anyone to be successful over there.
Has an honest, classy coach ever done well at Bama?

I have wondered this myself. Guess Alabama fricked with his head and he wants to be a lifer OC now. Come on Mike, where are your marbles?

I guess you share the same disease that afflicts Bama fans that can't let one good thing said abou Cam go unchallenged.

McElroy was not a highly touted recruit at all. Shula signed him and it got him a national title ring, an NFL start, and a broadcasting career that looks to go nowhere but up.

Why would he NOT send congrats to that guy for making the Super bowl?

Where does Coach Miles draw the line on that where Saban goes over the line? I assume you think Miles is not a "win at all costs" coach, so, what won't Miles do to win that Saban WILL do to win?

My recollection is that Shula was always a good QB coach and a decent play caller. He just couldn't run a team and couldn't figure out how to win close games.

Idk, I'm obviously not as invested in this topic as you probably are.
