Ole Miss and MSU oughta make their own TV deal for the egg bowl. Why share all that booty with the rest of the SEC!

I'm so fricking jealous of State, I'm not even going to lie.

Like, I really am happy with our coach but Leach is going to make so many headlines and State fans are going to have so much fun on the internet because of it.

Currently trending #1 on Twitter.

That's the best MSU could hope for. Just people talking about them. That in itself means it's a great hire.

Cool ... State will remain mediocre and we get a bundle of laughs.

Not sure that I've ever been this excited about a coaching hire before. I think it says something about us as SEC fans as well. We all seem to be happy for State and their coaching upgrade which inevitably makes the conference harder to win.

We are all in this together today. We've been missing great personality coaches since Spurrier. Not anymore baws.

Bubba Spurrier is the WR coach for Leach .... will be interesting to see if he brings him with and if he gets assigned his old recruiting territory in the process.

Very good hire but if boosters can't tolerate an experimental yankee because he's too weird how will they deal with an experimental Mike Leach who is the CFB king of weird?

JM being a yankee had nothing to do with it, Mullen was a yankee and was embraced. JM’s attitude, his culture, and his lack of discipline is why he was fired, not because of what part of the country he was born in.

Because their fans will LOVE him.

The SEC West just got a whole lot tougher.

Everyone: Sees Leach hiring and instantly excited about Egg Bowl and the personalities.

Saban is so fricking pissed that not only does he have to deal with Kiffin, but also Leach every year

Instantly thinks of Saban.

Checks out.

Spurrier Jr. is a Duke grad who didn't go to school in Cocke County, TN or run the ridges of East, TN in its more colorful days as well as the beaches of Florida when it was still wild. If folks want that personality I can take you to more than a dozen right now but those guys aren't the ones that are given opportunities these days -- look at Kiffin's pedigree and Steve Jr's then look at his father's and his father's generation.

Truthfully, the dearth of personalities comes from the fact that those guys raised in places that give you a lot of personality don't get the opportunities they used to get because they don't have the connections.

Absolute Home run hire for MSU. What kid wouldn’t want to be in his system and what MSU fan wouldn’t want to get some maroon and white pirate gear?

Compared to JM, Mullen looked like Ghengis Khan as a disciplinarian.
