re: Your thoughts on Trump n Co enriching themselves while in office?
Posted by Doctor Strangelove on 6/30/26 at 9:19 am to idlewatcher
Do you realize that you too have the ability to enrich yourself during the Trump administration? When China stopped shipping rare earth minerals that was a signal for any investor to find good existing companies to invest in and profit from. Call me Nostradamus but it just makes sense. Another tip: government spends $1.0 trillion on defense spending? You might want to invest in defense stocks.

I kilt one on my hunting property and had her mounted. She is in my office and we affectionately call her “Babs” after Barbara Streisand. re: Waterfalls everywhere take one for the team.

That could have been his name. Seems like he could make some stemwinder speeches and wasn’t afraid to crack a few eggs if necessary.

There was a feller from Australia who took to the streets, with some buddies, once upon a time and took care of the commies with their knuckles.

Chatsworth Osborne, Jr. has always been about his popularity and grift more than his desire for truth and justice.

You have to think for yourself and read. McCarthy was right on everything. The Alger Hiss issue is just one of the many cases where a highly placed Soviet agent was influencing US policy at Yalta. Many sources and overwhelming evidence has come out over the years.

Some great reads on the infiltration of communism into the U.S. government and Hollywood are Witness by Whittaker Chambers and Venona: Decoding Soviet Espionage in America by John Earl Haynes and Harvey Klehr.
Chambers was a card-carrying communist in the 1920s and 1930s. He was part of secret groups that recruited officials to infiltrate the government. Later, he became a Christian and a senior editor at Time magazine in the 1940s and at National Review in the 1950s. He (through an intermediary) warned the Roosevelt administration about highly placed communists in the government, but FDR dismissed the information.
He later testified before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) in 1948, and the press and Democrats mocked him for helping to promote a “Red Scare.” Ironically, he had hidden microfilm and other evidence (the “pumpkin papers”) of the plot, drawn from Soviet communications with U.S. party members. His evidence was initially resisted by many.
Venona was the name of the U.S. Army Signal Intelligence Service (later NSA) project that collected and decrypted Soviet diplomatic and intelligence cables between Moscow and Soviet operatives in the U.S. (including those linked to the CPUSA). The code was partially cracked, and work on the project continued from 1943 until 1980.
McCarthy was reviled by the press and other elites but when the Venona files were released in 1995, everything he had said was true. He died a broken man but he was and is still a hero.
We need many like him to root out the evils of Communism in our current government and culture.
ETA that Venona specifically confirms the espionage of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg along with the evidence of Alger Hiss being a Russian agent and adviser to FDR. They also show the Soviet infiltration of other members of the Manhattan Prject along with their infiltration into Hollywood.

Umm, they seem to be holding the world’s oil supply and economy hostage with a few drones and underwater mines. Unless the Strait of Hormuz is kept open and the price of oil stays down, I think Iran and the libs will take this as a win.

After reading the first few paragraphs of the entire article makes you realize how truly evil is Islam and its followers. Why any Nation would encourage their immigration baffles me beyond measure.
