You're not even making any sense now. All of those years finishing just out of reach of anything meaningful has certainly done a number on ole Boomer here.

I really would like to see Leach line his OL up with 3 yard gaps against a DL like Alabama or LSU. Hell, he can't even win doing it in the PAC12.
What he's done at Washington St is amazing tbh. Dude is a top football mind without a doubt.
And the SEC was garbage this year.

He's at friggin Wazzou. Nobody consistently wins there. He's actually had a better first 5 years than their GOAT modern coach Mike Price.

People need to realize that the conference should be like a family of brothers...fight each other all you want, but when it comes time to defend the family from outsiders, close ranks and come together. You can't want SEC teams to lose to outsiders then turn around and bitch when somebody points out that the conference is weak because it's losing to other teams.
I'm ate up with the conference of the school I graduated from..... twice?

No Argument here in terms of last year

Yeah..... frick all that

Then tell all your fans to quit bitching when outsiders call the conference weak because it can't hold its own against other teams. You can't have it both ways.

I'm most definitely on board with this line of thinking other than when Bama is playing for a national championship. You frickers have enough.

All I was doing was pointing out to the fricking Oklahoma fan on the SEC Rant that he's a moron for acting like anyone here would be "ate up" with the SEC.

I'll guarantee this...if an SEC team is playing anybody out of conference in any game, I'm pulling for them.

I'm not sure what Leach is trying to get at here. His team couldn't beat Eastern Washington State and on top of that, played three ranked teams (going 1-2 in the process).
With the exception of Alabama, the SEC was down this year. I don't know, maybe Vanderbilt and Kentucky had decent years. But, in reality, the SEC really had nowhere else to go but down.
The Pac 12 was nothing too special as well. 6/12 teams couldn't get to bowl eligibility.

Is it?
2012: 3-9
2013: 6-7
2014: 3-9
2015: 9-4; lost to Portland State and went 1-2 against ranked teams
2016: 8-5; lost to Eastern Washington and went 1-2 against ranked teams.
I'm not sure if I'd call that "amazing." He has improved recently, but is still having difficulties beating ranked opponents and he's had some head scratching losses.

Yeah the put a whole 10 points on the only defense close to theirs in the league. LSU got rid of it's 3 yards and cloud of dust offensive genius Les Miles. The next few years will be interesting get ready gumps. As for as the Okie good on you for beating both of those rednecks' arses.

Do what? They were garbage this year...Can't think of a more overrated coach in my lifetime.

The SEC was nothing special this past year.

Look at them pre-Leach and look at them now. They hadn't been to a bowl game in like a decade before him. The program he inherited hadn't won more than 4 games in a season under their precious coach
If Saban went there without the Alabama name recognition I doubt he could do much better. I'm

Overall, Leach is right at least this year. Bama won the West by 3 games and Florida was nothing special

It's really hard to recruit as WSU. If you think places like College Station or Starkeville or even Tuscaloosa are out of the way, they are actually more convenient than Pullman, Washington. It's not easy to get to when you consider the population centers. It's about 5.5 hours by car from Seattle which is the closest recruiting ground and over 1500 from the San Francisco area.
The fact he has gotten recruits out there with some real talent is actually impressive

Now, I will say this. I'd love to see those teams with the high powered offenses come and deal with SEC defenses week in and week out. Take Clemson for instance. Watson was incredible in the championship game. However, he took a beating. He would have taken a similar beating against a bunch of other SEC teams during a season. They barely beat a pretty bad Auburn team. That's what people like Leach fail to realize. Your QB would never be comfortable in the pocket. Watch PAC 12 games. The QBs have all day to throw.
these kind of generalizations are dumb b/c Auburn had a better defense than Arky, Ole Miss, Tenn and other SEC teams.
And Clemson held Auburn to 12 points at home. that's why i laugh when people say CU was only Watson this year. CU likely would have won that game with another QB as well.
and reason Clemson lost to Pitt was two end zone interceptions of watson, one of which was run back for 70 yards. He also threw a pick 6 in NC State game. NCSU only scored 14 points in the game so that pick 6 was only reason they had a chance to win.

Nothing earth shattering. Other than Clemson and Alabama who really had elite level teams?
