Gundy will kill it as a studio guy.

Kiffin would be a safe bet, but NIL at OSU is in shambles. If T. Boone Pickens were still around it would be a different story.

The more I consider it, Gundy at a school like Florida could be scary good.

I am worried about Gundy might be waiting for the Oklahoma OC job to open up when Arbuckle leaves for a HC gig soon.

He did..he was a good coach…but he is absolutely clueless in the present NIL landscape.

Oklahoma State doesn't have the money to set up NIL.

I am not sure why that worries you.

Seems to me Gundy has been a coach who brought in hired guns to be his coordinators, I cannot see him accepting a role working as an assistant at this point in his career because he is 55, he has been The Man for too long to be The Assistant.

People wanting a coach who is past his best years is beyond me

If Arbuckle gets a HC gig then Oklahoma will have to find a good replacement. Not just any OC.

The mullet with jorts would give him a leg up on Florida Man status.

He had only 2 losing seasons at OSU in 20 years. I believe he’d do well with the talent he could get at FLORIDA .

He hired Grantham in his most separate hour to save his defense. Lol, no.

Right, younger ones like Billy work out better.

Alex Golesh is who you should hire. Young fresh hungry coach. Gundy has peaked most likely.

It’s a demanding job, hence why old coaches quit and retire. Coaches in their prime win championships lol this is not rocket science

This isn’t true. Gundy was against paying for recruits. Donors held back funds not trusting Gundy, you have programs like wrestling and golf that are benefiting from donors which unfortunately don’t make nearly the return as football.

The TBoone Foundation gave us $120 million like 2 years ago.

Gundy pissed relationships away with coaches, for example the top Juco is in Kansas and we’ve gotten 0 players. DFW is 3-4 hr drive. Tulsa has good recruiting.
He relied on 2-3* stars because he was scared of recruiting against OU when they don’t give 2 shits about us. Best coach we’ve had, but time for someone with 0 ties to the school to come in and shake things up.

Gundy started young as a HC and still in decent shape. Give him a year to decompress and rest up, and he could come in fresh somewhere with NIL money and kick arse. He's never worked with the best staff or best recruits and always found ways to be competitive.

Texas would be good if Sarkisian can't get Texas to win a championship in the next 2 years.

Everyone praises Matt Campbell and I looked up record since 2020

Gundy had 8 more wins and 3-0 in bowls. Campbell was 1-2
