Because there are a significant number of players on both teams who played in the massacre in Tiger Stadium. Yall still can't tackle Reed. That is a legitimate factor.

(Texas fan) who will admit Elko is a pretty solid coach. He’s the exact guy you would want coaching your kid in high school
Sucks that he will be gone from A&M in 1-2 seasons (maybe 3 best case?)…
schedule gift last year led to double digit wins and Ag fanbase can’t handle/rationalize that kind of “success” but it’s bought him some “extension” time (pun intended)
He would do really well at a lot of other programs
Sadly, he will only be remembered as a punching bag (weight jokes) bc he coached at a$m
