You have no idea what you are talking about! To even think of putting Dubose's record in the same room as Coach Stalling is idiotic.

Coach Stallings never had a losing season in 7 years at Bama that included 2 SEC Championships and 1 National Championship. His last season he went 9-3 and tied 1st in west and won his bowl game.

In comes Mike Dubose who had 2 winning seasons in 4 years at Bama winning 1 SEC Championship and losing both bowl games. BTW, his 1st season after Coach Stalling went 9-3, Dubose went 4-7 after being ranked #3 in preseason polls!

And let's not forget the NCAA investigation into Albert Means that cost us 21 scholarships over 3 years that occurred on his watch.

He was a terrible coach that cheated on his wife with a member of his staff.

How many of you people were alive when this was going on. Bill Curry was the most mistreated coach in history by a university being Alabama. Period

You are full of it. Bill Curry won the 1989 SEC championship at ALABAMA. He also won SEC COY and National COY at ALABAMA. Bill Curry couldn't beat Auburn. So he gets on a plane to Kentucky for an interview. Wrong move.

"Nearly 300 sexual assaults that were reported to Louisiana State University between October 2021 and September 2022 were closed without disciplinary action, according to the university's latest reports reviewed by Fox News Digital.

The university's handling of sexual assault accusations is under a microscope after sophomore Madison Brooks was fatally hit by a car after an alleged rape on Jan. 15, less than two years after a bombshell report by USA Today about LSU's mishandling of sexual assault cases.

The newspaper's report, titled "LSU mishandled sexual misconduct complaints against students, including top athletes," was published in November 2020 and forced internal changes, including a voluminous report in 2021."

How about an entire University?

Bill Curry did not win a national championship at Alabama. Stallings did in his second year with Curry’s recruits. That statue of Stallings should have that as a footnote on it. After he won the national championship his teams were basically mediocre from then on.

No one said Curry won a NC. Stallings was there for 7 seasons and he averaged 10 wins a season.

Stallings got tired of a bunch of nitwit administrators that wouldn't get out of his way.

You said it. Alabama was depleted of quality players in Bryant’s last year. To the point that Southern Mississippi slaughtered them in Tuscaloosa his last year. Perkins the giant of a coach to replace Bryant was not very successful restocking the shelves. Auburn was loaded with talent coming off the Bo Jackson years. They were hard to beat. Curry had little to work with and was berated by Alabama fans before he even arrived on campus because he was coming from Ga Tech a not an Alabama guy. Now go back to sleep

Bill Curry was the most mistreated. He recruited a national championship team but not allowed to coach it
————————
Curry was a arrogant pompass a$$
He had Gary Hollingsworth sitting on the bench to start the season in ‘89. Board of trustees screwed up big time as coach Bowden wanted to come but didn’t want to interview…..Joan Thomas screwed up big time!

Stallings won it his 3rd season and averaged 10 wins per season at BAMA back when the regular season was 11 games.
