09 Bama went undefeated and they deserve all of the credit lauded on them. 98 Tennessee is the best SEC BCS champion. We went wire to wire undefeated with the number 1 SOS in the country.

lsu had a better qb, better defense and and better special teams. 09 bama had more accomplishments

Exactly.....I think this is why bammer fans and bammer fans posing as fans of other teams like to constantly talk up the '09 tide....they can't let it go....
I don't remember LSU and Florida doing this constantly.....It's the school of thought that says "if I say it enough times, it will be true."

Only 1 team clearly better than 2004 AU this decade - 2001 Miami.
2005 Texas and 2004 USC would be contenders.

09 Bama deserves credit for running the table and pwning UF in the SECCG, but 01 Miami was a more balanced offense.
The defenses may be a push, but that's debatable, too.

Our offense scored more points this year, than Auburn's offense scored in 2004. As far as the defenses.. there was only 17 pts difference in what was given up, and that was with us playing an extra game.
