The same will be true for Ole Miss-Louisville.

That way fans can circumvent the rules and not have to mask up in the stadium. This per Barrett Sallee on Twitter.

They finally found a use for retractable roof domes.

That's nice but the Benz is like an oven this time of the year when the roof is open.

I’m very serious….. no flaming my friends. That man opened that dome before the falcons did! What Nick wants, Nick gets….

I reckon whether mask rules apply depends on the venue but this is almost certainly because it is hot as frick in there without letting air escape.

I figured that it would be the opposite...with all the extra body heat and the heat from the sun baking the dome that opening it would let heat air escape.

I went to a United game a couple of years ago that started at 2 or 3 in July and it was miserable.

Maybe it'll be better in early Sep instead of Jul.

The hottest game I ever went to was a Brewers game at Miller Park with the roof open. Maybe the retractables like Minute Maid and Lucas Oil are better (because the roof just basically slides off) but there's definitely an oven-effect when the retractable part of the roof is smaller

Meh, don't care, in the club section.

ETA: Plus, Ole Miss game doesn't kick til 8. Should be much cooler once the sun goes down.

Weather is gonna be decent this weekend in Atlanta. Mid 80s, dry, evening temps in mid low 60s.

Bright sunshine though, so ya'll are gonna roast

So, a roof a hundred feet above my head not being there will keep the Covid virus from transferring from the person sitting 3 feet away to me.
Got it.

I mean, I get it, but playing in 80+ degree heat so people don't have to mask up instead of the players being in 70-75 degree heat?

I was there Saturday for a 3:30 game and it was perfect. That time of day there will be less than 1/4 of the fans in the sun for part of the game, and those will of course be warm. The rest of the stadium is very comfortable.

Instead of turning on air conditioning?
Turn your air conditioner off tonight and open your doors and windows and see which one you prefer.
