Realistically Pope got UK to the Sweet 16 for the first time in almost a decade last year and he won a game this year. He's got 4 years minimum.

Pope is about to give us one of the most lopsided NCAA tournament losses in decades.

But the bigger problem is Barnhart. He’s going to handpick the next crop of leadership for athletics and it’s going to be someone from his inner circle.

Our entire athletic department needs to be gutted and rebuilt. All of Barnhart’s cronies need to be booted out of KY before they get the chance to move higher up the ladder.

We need an AD with zero connections to Kentucky who will come in and stick up the middle finger to Barnhart and tell that cocksucker to go frick himself. Right now, our athletic department is a good ole’ boys club full of yes men who submit to that old fricker.

He needs a GM that won’t cup his balls at this point.
I would say if he can't envision and build a functioning roster while being able to just point and get whoever he wants without someone holding his hand, better to just move on from him IMO.

Hold your heads high KY, you beat a sweet 16 Arkansas team a month and a half ago.

That’s gotta count for something.

well, not that it matters, but i was all sec sec for this game. brutal outcome.

Blah. Appreciate it. But I've learned you just can't get too invested with Mark Pope and Kentucky.

Next year is going to be a slog. A frigging death watch, like when everybody comes over and waits for Grandpa to move on.

Pope deserves at least one more year. He’s supposedly bringing in some big time secret commits

Because of the injuries this season and his S16 last season, he’ll get one more year to prove whether it was a fluke.

Thankfully y’all relieved us of that lifetime contract Cal had that would’ve been a massive albatross trying to move forward.

So maybe since you had three single digit wins over this shite team maybe you aren’t as good as you think you are.
. I don’t think the Gators guard play is good enough to cut down the nets. March madness is all about guard play and that’s our weak link. I’m definitely not trolling UK. Y’all lost to much at the most important spot. We’ll probably be joining you soon. Can’t lose 3 NBA guards like we did.

Were y'all able to get fully healthy for the tournament? Hadn't kept up.

Weird addition, but yeah it has seemingly worked out really well for y'all so far.

No, but that isn't an excuse. This team was unprepared the entire season.

Maybe I AM dick-riding Florida. Call it what you will. I just know good when I see it. And I like how Todd Golden is running that program.

And that's the thing. I don't expect the next Bob Knight to come into Lexington. Just somebody that's not an obvious goof. I think there are about 4 dozen guys that could do a better job that Calipari was and Pope is.

Hell - gimme' Sean Miller. Gimme' Dusty May. Gimme' Chris Beard. I could go on and on and on.

I can understand that. It felt that way last year for us limping in as a 10 seed having injuries all year, but we were lucky enough to actually get healthy right in time for the tournament.

No. JQ never made it back, Lowe has been out several weeks now, and even though he was playing Kam wasn’t 100% post foot surgery.

If we had to fire Cal, it would’ve been a pretty bad financial situation given the contract Barnhart signed with him when UCLA came calling.

Thankfully that, plus the recognition of Barnhart as a problem, makes it easier to get rid of Pope and it’ll be a new AD doing it.

Ok I’ve taken a few cheap shots but I’m going to be honest.

I think Iowa State is a VERY good team. People are just sleeping on them because they’re Iowa state. I did a little deep dive before the tournament and was surprised how well they stacked up across the board statistically with the elite teams.

. I think you have to give Pope another chance. 4 key injuries is too much to overcome. I see improvement. Next year obviously is key.

He's got one more year coming. No doubt.

As of now ? One returning player. I don't even know if he'll have a full squad next year.
