Oh boy, if we could land him AND Yeldon on NSD..
Dyer, McCallebb, Mason, Blakely, Grant, Yeldon, and Robinson.. Deepest running back group in the nation? I think so. And you can never have enough running backs.

One of them would end up transferring. Not enough footballs to make that many backs happy.
Similar to Brandon Jacobs transferring from Auburn when y'all had Ronnie Brown and Cadaliac

Probably not, Mccallebb will be gone in two years and Dyer could probably leave early.

Meh. We'd still be extremely deep if 1 left.

By the time this year's class sees the field, it'll be 2012 or 2013 and Omac will be gone after 2012 and possibly Dyer, so if that happens, in '13 that leaves....
lets just say just for arguments sake:
Mason as a jr, Blakely and Yeldon as soph and Robinsons as a RFr.
and Grant somewhere in there(Rsoph?). Do any Auburn folks know if he's even going to play? I've read that it's still not a sure thing. I guess this year would be the year he sits out, or would he have to sit out two since he's transferring w/in conference? I'm not too sure of the rules on that. Either way, he probably wouldn't play on scholarship until 2013 at the earliest.
It'd definitely be a full backfield, but I can see how at least 3 of them would get alot of touches in a year. Even after Malzahn eventually leaves(I personally think within 2-3 years at the very latest), I think we'll bring someone in that will run a similar offense, and definitely one that utilizes 2 backs and gets the ball to alot of different guys.
We're gonna be stacked with playmakers on offense in 2012 and beyond.

Deep or not, RB is just like QB, there's only one ball to go around. Somebody eventually transfers. Alabama went about 8 deep last year. We have 5 legitimate guys left a year later. That's not counting Brent Calloway contributing.

True, but bamas offense wants to slow it down and effectively minimize snaps, whereas the offense we run can hit 70-80 plays a game. You can split 45-50 of those between 3 backs pretty easily. Obviously that's the ideal situation for Malzahn, but it won't always happen.

Alabama uses three guys heavily too. Even when Ingram had 1600 yards in 2009, Richardson added over 700 yards. The third back, Roy Upchurch, was getting enough touches to gain around 300 yards. In 2010, the third back was Eddie Lacy. He had over 400 yards on the ground, behind Ingram and Richardson.

And after looking at the statistics, the difference in plays-per-game between the two offenses isn't all that great. Alabama had 829 plays, for an average of 63.7 PPG. Auburn had 948 plays, for an average of 67.7 PPG. Remember that Auburn played one more game.

Which will counter Alabama's 11 linebacker formation..

Nobody will stop Arkansas' 10 Wide formation.

Sounds about right. Memphis athletes usually struggle.

Dang.. He is my favorite back in the class. Great combo and size and speed..

Well, that would explain the lack of information on him from the guys that follow Alabama recruiting. He's still my favorite RB in this class, ahead of Rushel Shell and Barry Sanders.

Ware, Blue, Gore, Hilliard, Magee, Bourque, and possibly Hill(could be here in January) say hi.
Gotta be careful not to cause Attrition at the position as well. AU is headed that way.
