Yeah I was there. That dome had absolutely nothing on death valley. At very most it was 65/35 LSU. At that you have 52000 or so LSU fans. We'll have a solid 90,000 come Saturday night.
He'll be fine. Dude is a cool customer. Besides, your offense will deflate the crowd like always.

And in these six games McCarron's averages were as follows :

Crowd noise is overrated in my opinion. Sure...it can lead to false starts and some problems with hearing what plays are being called in an audible, but that doesn't really matter when you're facing a quality opponent. The last real good team to play in Tiger Stadium at night was '09 Florida and they won that game 13-3.
To me crowd is more about emotion and momentum than just false starts.
Hearing a super loud crowd just gets the home team pumped up.

So in all honesty he's never played a quality opponent in a hostile environment. The dome on 1/9 was 50/50. Mad props to Bama's traveling. He did perform incredible in that game and he's been great so far this year. But we'll see what happens if one thing goes wrong and 92,400 deafening fans are hailing upon him while Mingo and Montgomery feed off the crowd.
13-10 LSU
I get the feeling this was going to be your reply no matter what the answers were to your question.
Good luck. I'm sure AJ will be shell shocked by the novelty of it all.

In all honest your'e being delusional if your'e comparing '11 UF, Penn Stae and AU to '12 LSU. The talent level is not even astronomically close.

We're not comparing the talent, we're comparing the stadium noise. I think crowd noise is vastly overrated. Bryant-Denny could have been as quiet as water against Mississippi State last week and it wouldn't have made any difference at all to the outcome.

You didnt ask anything about talent level. You asked about hostile environments, and we gave you the info you were looking for. If you already knew what you wanted to hear, then why even start the thread? Lame arse.

So we can agree that this most likely will be McCarron's toughest enviroment thus far in his career?

UF 11 and LSU 12 will be comparable, but yeah, top 2.

"The Swamp" is one of the most hostile venues comparable to "Tiger Stadium" or "Death Valley". I see A.J doing just fine.

Possibly. But not by much. The Swamp is just as imposing as Tiger Stadium is at night.

So why even start this topic to begin with?

I'm just saying, it would have helped you efforts if you had have specified in your OP.
Also, define "quality opponent."

I thought the hostile environment at Jordan Hare is why y'all struggled with auburn. 12-10

Yes, and if he walks through Death Valley and wins, has a good game, and doesn't throw an INT against THAT defense, he deserves the Heisman just as much if not more than Klein.

Florida 2011 wasn't a bad team until we broke them. They were down to their 3rd string QB for weeks and ol firsty was shell shocked the rest of the way.
Too bad we didn't break them for you again this year or you'd be unblemished.

LSU fans have never experienced the shock of a hostile AJ in their home stadium at night. I don't think they'll be ready for it.

His only bad play that I can even remember from the 2011 Iron Bowl was when he fumbled in the endzone, and Auburn recovered for a TD. Otherwise, I think he played pretty well in what was at times a hostile environment at JHS.
