Everyone was warned over and over again from A&M folks how Texas people are. I was against them coming in the SEC from the start. I have read articles from some of them wanting to remove Vanderbilt from the league. This was an ill conceived idea from the very beginning. I hate orange but I will be pulling for Clemson.

8$4 tried to warn us. You can bank on the game rotating between Atlanta and Dallas sooner than later.

I value Matt's opinion so damn much. Just a rich elitist telling us he knows best.

Im 100% having the SEC championship game in Nashville once they finish up building their new dome

Will bet anyone on here it will be moved within the next 5 years. Not saying it should, but it will.

No one gave a flying frick about the game being in Atlanta until the kang showed up.

I grew up an LSU fan and other fans I knew never liked the idea of Georgia getting a home game in ATL. It's not just Texas that dislikes it.
Should probably be rotated or somewhere neutral, but honestly I don't think it matters all that much.

I hate when Matthew says something. It ignites the whole Texas entitlement rant all over again.

Cool. But how about rather than moving the SECCG from Atlanta we move Texas from the SEC to another conference.

That is because the conference champion often ended up playing in New Orleans at the Sugar Bowl.
If shorthorn followers can't travel to New Orleans then screw 'em.

Well we have John Daly and I bet he don’t give a shite…..
John Daly is a national treasure, even if he is a piggy fan. Also, he somewhat redeems himself by being a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Should only be held at “SEC footprint” venues deemed significant enough to host a Super Bowl.
Rice, Tulane, etc.

Why should it be in Atlanta every year?
1. Large city with major airport that helps for fan travel.
2. Dome prevents weather from being an issue.
3. Relatively close to the geographical center of the conference.
ETA...from another thread...why Atlanta and Nashville would be good choices for the SECCG in the future.
Distances from SEC Geographic Center to Major SEC Cities
Center to Atlanta, Ga - 296 Miles
Center to Irving, TX - 570 Miles
Center to Nashville, TN - 230 Miles
Center to Tampa, FL - 751 Miles
Center to New Orleans, LA - 328 Miles
Center to Kansas City, MO - 573 Miles

The airport criteria makes a lot of sense because most fans would fly and teams would fly. BUT that same logic eliminates the need for being in the geographic center”
You can get flights reasonably priced to the major cities and to non major cities that are touristy like many Florida airports….
I would rotate it around let stadiums bid for it. Cities may chip in dollars also, Seems like it is currently a “brother-in-law-deal” to Atlanta that could be better done elsewhere….
