Hearing on Birmingham radio this morning that Matt Luke's father in law is the owner of Rebel Rags. Any truth to this?

If so, I can't imagine this not being another aggravating factor for COI.

Edited to add:

I truly doubt Ole Miss is stupid enough to make the son in law of the owner of Rebel Rags the head coach. Has to just be a rumor.

In this time of adversity, maybe Luke just worked hard to get this position.

I'm not sure Ole Miss isn't stupid enough for just about anything anymore.

At this rate, I'll be sending Petrino a thank you note for not screwing us this hard, by next weekend.

The biggest difference is culture.

Jeff Long did what he had to do. Yes, we had rando superfans up in arms about losing Petrino, and it sucked, but at least it was handled and we moved on as quickly as possible.

Our wealthy donors just aren't as foo-baw crazy in general. Most of them are too rich to care too much about minutiae regarding something as stupid as college football. There are a lot more of them, too, as evidenced by the ring of luxury suites around every venue we have. For them, Arkansas games are a place to sip cocktails and network and relax, not flex your dick and try to appear powerful.

I hope that's right.

Truth. Thinking about it now, shout out to JL.

Hmm. I can't really be upset with that but I can see how a few whackos could sometimes be potentially helpful.

To Ole Miss fans: It sucks now but it will eventually pass. For better or worse, the sooner the NCAA thing is over the sooner you can move on. I think Bjork (?) leaving would be a blessing and help you cleanse the soul and restart with a clean slate. I'm not telling you anything you don't know but just realize you're not the first and won't be the last fanbase to feel the burn. One day you'll be laughing at someone else.

It's actually amazing and hilarious how bush league these rogues were at cheating.

You'd better have Phil Knight money and value if you think you are going to buy your way into the gated community of CFB and be that belligerent and sloppy.

Amateur hour in Oxford.
