The 3 winners of the 3 big games in the west will be considered the top 5 calibre teams and playoff contenders.

The 3 losers will be considered overrated, sucky, etc.

Just 1 game but the overreactions will be huge.

Massive overreactions happen every Saturday. This weekend isn't going to be that special...

Actually I think they'll be pretty sensible reactions. Auburn, aTm and Alabama are all very good teams.

I dunno, if either of the miss schools lose, I think they will get relegated back to bottom feeder in the west status here.

If AtM looses people will say they should have lost to arky and aren't any good again.

Lsu will automatically be a contender and the MSU game chalked up as if Harris had come in earlier, LSU would be undefeated, etc.

Not sure what the reaction to AU/Bama losing would be. AU would probably be written off due to the remaining schedule.

I'm actually excited for you guys, though. You usually have to wait for later in the year for your dreams of championships to die. Now you get to see how the other half live. We know our season isn't going to end in Atlanta or any mythic playoff berths. After this weekend you will be able to just enjoy whatever happens in the game instead of hanging on every play like your life depended on it. It's sometimes freeing...

But being a Bama fan you'll probably just write the loss off as a fluke and keep feeding your delusions.

These "feely feels" are just the sanguine slap in the face of reality. It's been a while since you folks have felt it, but it's coming...

I agree. Very accurate expectation, imo.

Didn't we end last year on a two game losing streak?

LSU will be 0-2 in the SEC for the first time since.. I don't know. That will be the biggest reaction. Especially with the remaining schedule.
EDIT - Whoever loses in Auburn Saturday will be the biggest reaction.

I dont think an AU loss puts LSU back in the conversation automatically since they have looked like hammered dog shite. even if its convincing they will play it like AU's luck finally ran out. I think it narrows the conversation to bama & grinders...which basically to the media will be the bama show once again. a lot of football to be played and this conversation is gonna go in a full circle at least once as the west cannibalizes itself. I dont see an AU loss this week but it could happen to any team any week pretty much here on out.
