i cant believe some of you are worried about this guy. this isnt the Pac-10, he wont be able to run all over the field without being killed.

How convenient for him and for Ole Miss.

Was he in this same field of study when he was at Oregon?

and Masoli is nothing to be scared of at all.

Very tough but also a very average passer, good (not great) runner, and often makes the wrong read on wildcat type plays.

eta: and his passing did not really improve at all while at Oregon.

Ole Miss is a laughing stock for this and it will blow up in their faces. Here is how things will play out...Masoli arrives and Ole Miss fans and administration embrace him with open arms as a small southern town taking in a stray that has fallen on hard times, Nat Stanley will suck for the first couple of games and Masoli will show some promise running the Wild Rebel (or Hotty Toddy or Bluesman or Landshark) and by the fourth game will be the starter, he will show some flashes of his old self but it will become apparent that his former greatness related to a large extent on his former coaches and conference. At some point, he will have a run in with Craig Loston and his career will end in highlight fashion at the hands of the young safety.

Is Masoli eligible?

Unless the transfer rules have changed, he would have to sit out a year.

negative ghost rider....he graduated so he can enroll and play right away.

So he found a loop-hole which will allow him to play without any consequences for his actions.

Typical Nutt if he allows this guy on campus.

Same transfer situation, just different reasons for leaving.

I agree that he wont be able to run all over the field like he did in the pac 10, he just ran past people, he wont do that vs SEC speed. But the kids tough and can take licks. He wont be killed

You need to know the definition of "loop-hole". That more or less means that he found a way to do something that the NCAA didn't think about.

The NCAA actually implemented this rule specifically. The NCAA literally said "Hey...you can do this exact thing"

This situation =/= loop hole.

the same loophole any player could use if they graduated.......

no consequences? are you serious? He has been embarassed, he is missing a chance for a possible heisman and a possible run at the national title. All that is gone....I think he has paid a decent penalty for his actions.

All this considering he never stole anything, just was there (which was stupid) and lied about it. He was caught with some weed. I think the whole story was blown out of proportion because all the info didn't come out right away.

Everything you said isnt very far fitched. The last statement is just a little ignorance to the kids toughness. Loston cant hold Taylor Mayes jock strap and Masoli took shots from Mayes all night long. Kids tough and can take NFL hits, but everything else is a possiblity. Oh and as the whole wild rebel/landshark/bluesman/ etc. for the 1000000000 time we're still the rebels just fielding an on the field mascot since we havent had one in 7 years.
