re: Biden to resign next week?

If Biden resigns, does Johnson move into the VP role?
Wow, I had no idea of Massie's depth and talents. One of the best interviews I've seen, and a whole new respect for him.

re: Value of becoming a CPA

My advice from personal experience is this.

1. Get your CPA.
2. Put one to two years in public accounting. It is grueling, but you will learn valuable skills.
3. Get several years beyond that in corporate finance. You will learn skills and leadership.
4. Save hard.
5. Engage a business broker and find a business that aligns with your interests to purchase.
6. Be your own boss, set a culture that aligns with your values, and profit.

#1-4 set you up perfectly for #5-6. This is the way.
One of the major allures of the mountain west is the ability to get away from this crap and enjoy a taste of the way things used to be. So much for that...
I get impatient when the pump runs slow and a 2 minute fill-up takes 4. Can't imagine waiting an average of 39 minutes every 100-200 miles. I would lose my mind or suffer a stroke, or both.
Yeah, I just cannot imagine a road trip with so many stops and so much time waiting for the EV to charge. Not to mention the anxiety of finding a place to charge before it goes dead or having to plan the trip around available charging stations. Way too much work, frustration, and time. It all sounds miserable.
6000 miles @ 70 mph avg = 85 hrs
54 charging stops @ an avg of 39 minutes = 35 hrs

85 hrs driving, 35 hrs waiting, 54 stops!

At this point, it's looking like I won't file a claim. Paying a 1k deductible with the risk of being capped at 5k or being outright denied isn't worth it.

The mold remediation would likely not touch the $5k limit. A good restoration company will convey to the adjuster that most of the work necessary is due to water damage, not mold. Mold coverage would be used for any containment, hepa air filtration, and hepa vacuuming and wiping down the area affected. If when pulling the flooring and searching for the water line this looks bigger than you want to handle on your own, definitely inquire with your carrier whether this would be a covered loss. You shouldn't have to open a claim to get that answered.

man, you are likely going to have moisture/mold underneath your cabinets as well. If so, the lowers will almost certainly need to be pulled. You need a professional, unless you want to spend your next couple of months dealing with the repairs on your own and in hopes you can fully remediate the mold. And as others have said, your loss may not be covered. Many insurers are declining coverage under the sudden and accidental clause more and more often lately, especially the carrier I'm guessing you have based on the $5k mold limit.

Fly into Montrose and book a shuttle. I just booked one last week for around $75. You won't need a car. The gondola serves both Telluride and Mountain Village, so you can go everywhere you need to that way.

We stayed in Telluride last year (Telluride Lodge) and are staying there again this year. Lift 7 is right across the street, and everything in town is walking distance.

Get the Epic Day Pass. It's much cheaper than buying lift tickets from the resort. The skiing is great. The mountain is geared toward intermediate to expert, although there are plenty of beginner slopes. The views of the town from the slopes are amazing. And the mountain is less crowded than many others in CO.

Try Brown Dog Pizza.

Take a day off and snowmobile in Yellowstone

I was also last there about 20 years ago and will never forget that experience. Take a recovery day mid-way through your skiing and go do this tour. To this day, it's one of the coolest things I've ever done and I'm sure will be for you too. Bison up close covered head to toe in ice (beasts). Wolves, antelope, eagles. Hot springs and geysers. Frozen waterfalls. All of this standing out against the beautiful, snow-covered, tranquil scenery. I believe we covered about 60 miles of terrain that day, and lunch was included. Didn't see another human being, other than the 6-8 in our party. When we were there, there was serious talk of the park service doing away with snowmobiling altogether in the park because of the impact on the wildlife. I don't think that ever happened though.

If you spend a day in Phoenix before driving up, I suggest a half day kayak down the lower salt river. I just did that this weekend, and it was really a highlight of our Phoenix trip. The water was a cool 55-60 degrees, gently flowing to light rapids, incredible canyon and mountain views, and lots of wildlife. We saw roadrunners, lots of wild horses, bald eagles, and more. We booked kayaks through Saguaro Lake Ranch for about $80 pp.

Also highly suggest Fry Bread House. Pretty close to the airport, under $15 pp, and it was excellent (Native American tacos and great desserts).
Presley, as my PSC commissioner, allowed my water provider to be bought by an out of state provider and then allowed the new provider to raise our rates by over 400% to absolutely absurd levels earlier this year. This man then runs gubernatorial political ads gloating that as commissioner he prevented utilities from raising rates on their customers. He's a weasel. I have great disdain for this man.

Yes, go in Moe's and then down the stairs.
Rates are going up for several reasons. The biggest is inflation. The cost of new and used vehicles has increased significantly. And if your vehicle is totaled and has to be replaced, your insurer must pay more for a suitable replacement. Also, the cost of repairs has skyrocketed due to increasing labor costs and higher replacement parts due to supply chain issues.

Premium increases are slightly lagging the inflationary pressure. Just wait, home insurance premiums are going to increase as much or more than vehicle premiums. It's coming.
You don't think they've thought through their options? They don't have to take your gas appliances. They have a variety of means to shut down the gas utilities and/or make gas so expensive you won't want it.
Exactly. Sounds like the DOJ agreed on future immunity until questioned by the judge. Then they had to scramble and change their story, and the defense said wait a second, this is not what we agreed to.

Talk to your banker. This is all you need to do.
A lot is being made about the President going after his political foe. Biden has said repeatedly he isn't involved, and, though I rarely believe him, I don't necessarily doubt him in this case. This is the DNC and deep state in the driver's seat and in the white house. Biden is just their pawn.
In retrospect, can you imagine Bohannon's reaction when the news broke about suspicious gaming activity in Ohio involving Alabama baseball?
