Then why do they come here for cancer treatment and major procedures?
I'm sure it is a great experience in France getting the covid vaccine. That isn't what I am describing when I reference "quality".

Every used any of these systems? I have. You pay significantly higher taxes, do not get the best and brightest to provide them, have unreasonable wait times(I broke my wrist in Kuwait around 15 years ago. I was working in country and used the local healthcare instead of the paperwork to use the military provider. My wrist healed incorrectly waiting for a follow up and I ended up having to to fly to Germany to have army medical re break it and set it correctly. I found out that months to get a follow up were common. After that I always made sure that medical was part of my contracts).
And military medical isn’t great either. If you want an example of what a US system might look like look at how the DoD handles medical. Between the VA that is a terrifying joke, on base medical that scars for life or outsourced low bid contract stuff they send folks to. And that’s after they lied about providing for retirees and spouses for life, changing it to tricare and raising the rates yearly while decreasing services.
No, go back to pre Obamacare days where you could buy and afford the coverage you wanted. I carried catastrophic care when not on contract and it did exactly what I needed.

Because they don’t want to die waiting for service. A great means to keep costs down in European systems no one wants to discuss.

Why would Medicare for All stop a doctor from treating a person with cancer? They still receive payment for their work. The Pharmaceutical companies receive their payment. And why do many Americans go to Mexico for treatment?

That’s a joke right? Ms Retton has the means to pay for her own medical coverage and has chosen not to. Why should that involve taking money from me to pay it for her?
Have ever dealt with the government before?

Obama care more than doubled my family premiums. Pre Obamacare $180 a month for a family of 5. Obamacare instituted $400 a month for a family of 4

Because the state de incentivizes the best and brightest from entering the field with capped earnings, creating shortages of qualified and quality physicians able to treat patients. This leads to extended wait times when early treatment options would save or improve quality of life?
You do know that right? The average Canadian oncologist takes homes around 110,000 a year(less than half their US counterparts).

quote:Look at it this way, currently you have little say in your healthcare because private insurance companies can drop you from coverage any time they want. At least with Medicare for All, you would have a say in its policies.

Spent 28 years in hospital administration. Private insurance always had its issues, but we made it work even with having to write off around 22% of unpaid charges. Two things changed. ObamaCare and the flood of illegals. You couldn’t pay me to go into the field today.

We had that before Obamacare “fixed it”.

This is a terrible troll.
Go back to pre Obamacare when we actually had options and could match care to what we needed.

Do you mean back to win over half the country was uninsured because they could not afford it?

Insurance was MUCH cheaper and better before Obamacare

America is so rich that it is a disgrace we have the system we have.
So why aren't people flooding the gates to get into those countries? We take more immigrants than those 2 countries combined each year. I would think if this is socialist bullshite health care is truly as good as you act those numbers would reflect it. Do you ever go to the DMV and think about how smoothly and efficiently its operated and want them to have a hand on more of your day to day life? I know I fricking don't.

*when
And it was closer to 12%-15% that didn’t have insurance with less than 5% due to cost. Today it’s 8%-10% with cost being the primary factor. Today the average cost is ~7,000 a year per person vs ~2,000 a person before Obamacare.
It’s a losing proposition for the us consumer

I've lived in Japan for 27 years. Excellent healthcare is amazingly accessible, SIMPLE, affordable. There is a national healthcare system for those who are not covered by an employer. 30% copay both ways. US healthcare is a fricking shameful disgrace. 'Murica.
