No problem with Aggie here other than their weird arse traditions. Honestly they seem much more preferable to Horns fans as far as interactions go.

I remember repeatedly posting the SEC would regret adding Texas and that it would be a mistake and regret in the long term. Downvoted to hell.
"The SEC is too strong to let Texas get away with that stuff"
"This is the SEC...they won't be able to dictate operations."
Just saying....y'all wait for it.

Texas isn't doing anything and no one is worried. They are just obnoxious as frick. They don't have any leverage in this conference. That is the fundamental difference. We don't need them. That's why they came to us. They add value, yes. But if they want to upset the apple cart, they'll be shown the door. The SEC brand is its own entity, and is plenty strong without them. We didn't get here by accident.

I hope you're right, but they've ruined every conference they've ever been in. The SWC and Big 8 were both very powerful conferences in their own right....

It wasn't just Texas but other Texas schools that ruined that conference.

The fear in this thread is unbecoming. You guys are straight up bitchmade.
Note that no Alabama fan has posted in this thread. They definitely aren't scared, because they run this conference.
The only people crying about Texas are the ones who know they might get knocked down a peg in the pecking order.

Not nearly as arrogant. I don't have any problems with them at all.
Texas will try to impose it's will in the SEC but soon will find out the SEC has too many schools that will not tolerate the BS especially the Bama schools.

In the 80s both Arkansas and Rice were the only SWC schools that weren't on probation.
That was the beginning of the end.
That was the beginning of the end.

But what you don’t get is the SEC does not need you and your market/money. The gain in revenue i understand, but I am talking about a better fit culturally. Texas is arrogant.

It will find a way to push itself to the front of the line in the SEC. It will want priority. It will want the most money. It will want the most exposure. It will want the SEC offices to move to Dallas.
This will not happen.

This, there are 6 charter members who run the SEC and this isn't changing. Aggie learned this the hard way when the SEC added Texas and OU without their knowledge.

SEC shouldn’t have ever taken teams from the Big 12. We’ve learned to live with Mizzou and A&M. We just try not to look at their student sections during the games. I would’ve taken Oklahoma and Kansas State only out of that league if I had to choose.

Thanks, Steve. You provided fantastic evidence to back up your assertion. Obviously, you have thought a lot about this.

This and exactly this. Alabama and Georgia don’t give a frick. They win on the field and have earned that attitude. It’s the lesser schools that get pissed that we won’t bend the knee to the “SEC” brand. Like we need to fear the Kentucky’s of this conference just because “SEC”. frick you little hillbilly. We’re coming to play big boy football and you don’t get to be in the conversation because “SEC”. Beat us or STFU. We don’t give a frick about conference affiliation and you’re a pussy if you do.
We’ll be one of the top 5 or 6 teams in this conference every year (even on down years) and we’ll win the whole thing quite a bit too.
Texas didn’t want any part of the SEC years ago because we put education above sports (imagine that). But NIL has leveled the playing field, which is exactly why St. Nick is in such an uproar.
Georgia, Alabama, LSU, you have my respect. The rest of you pussies frick right off.

I believe both Texas A&M and University of Texas are the flagship schools. That’s what Google lead me to learning.
