After watching him for a full game against LSU I am sold. Dude is a stud. He gets my vote. Any thoughts?

I still think it's McCoy's to lose. I would love to see Mark win it, but he needs more TD's IMO. The yardage is there though.

I think Jonathan Dwyer should win it.

Too bad you don't have an actual vote...

ehh, he only had 50 yards against our horrid D, 2.9 ypc. Did have two short TDs, but anybody could have scored those TDs (wide open)...he has a few goood games, then a few sleepers

But I am used to a RB putting up much better numbers and being screwed out of the Heisman, so you never know i guess

The only team that gave Colt a run for his money was OU, and we all saw how that turned out for him. Through a tough SEC schedule Ingram has consistantly got the yardage. A few more td's and he is a shoe in IMO.

I think he will be the "front runner" for the Heisman next season...

I just don't think he is getting enough scores at this point. Last 2 weeks have put him behind Mccoy probably.

He had 1 bad game. Of course I said that I didn't think he'd win it, I think Colt will...but this yardage against these defenses right here tell a tale:

VT- 150 yards
UK- 140 yards
OM- 172 yards
SC- 246 yards
LSU- 144 yards

That's solid against good SEC talent on D.

+1

That's my point. Who else is getting those yards against the top ranked D's. If Ingram doesn't get it this year, next year will be his.

Without a doubt but they want tds game by game. McCoy and Tebow will be the favorites.

With the exception of LSU, he has had his "best games" against middle of the pack SEC Defenses or worse.

Im not saying he isnt good. In fact before the season started there was a thread about SEC RBs and people made fun of me because I said Ingram would be one of the best RBs this year. I just think there are better players out there who have put up some unreal stats thus far. And stats mean ALOT in terms of Heisman, as well as ESPN hype

5th counts as middle of the pack when their are only 12 teams. Just so you know.

power, geat cuts and speed. richardson is in the same mold
and almost looked like he has greator potential. i can't remember
lsu having a back this good, and we have had some great backs.
these 2 alabama backs are prototype backs for college football.

Hard for Mark to run against 3 of the top 4 run defenses this year before December, unless you count practice.

Colt has thrown like 9 picks. If Ingram would have scored a few TDs the last 2 games, he'd be clearly in the lead, I think. He likely would've had one Saturday if not for the 12 men on the field call.

I'm not sure the fact that McFadden didn't win it means Ingram won't, either. For one thing,at this stage Alabama is a national title contender, whereas McFadden's team had several losses. That carries alot of weight.

Secondly, both years McFadden lost, he lost to NC-contending QBs who were having better years than McCoy or Tebow are having this year (Tebow had a monster year in 2007 with like 55+ TDs).

With all that said, for him to win it he needs to finish up with more big games and probably find the endzone at least 4 or 5 more times.
