Arkansas is top 5 and may turn out to be deserving of a #1 ranking but not now. 2 loss team….

Arkansas has #1 SOS and #1 RPI right now..or at least heading into the weekend.. who would you give it to?

Texas A&M has been scary but USC and Arizona State are not good teams and Texas was on a 4 game losing streak when you played them.

Arkansas gave Oregon State and James Madison their only losses.

It doesn't really matter to this point but the Hogs definitely deserve that spot right now.

lol Aggie baseball pointing out 2 losses. Look at our strength of schedule compared to y’all’s. Conference play is going to be stout this year. Can’t wait

Not sure what you're referring to. Yall dropped a Sunday game at a tourney vs a very good UVA team and then lost 1 game to UConn & Aust Peay on your way to series wins.

Arkansas has been the only team that has been truly tested. I mean the SOS outside of Arkansas and maybe Florida is pretty bad. Obviously, SEC play will iron that out

SOS Rankings
Arkansas-1

Florida-39

South Carolina-70
Ole Miss-93
LSU-103

Bama-128
aTm-134
MSU-136
Vandy-140
Georgia-142
Kentucky-147
Auburn-151

Tennessee-178

Missouri-233

All meaningless until SEC play starts. Scary strength of conference this year.

These mean absolutely nothing right now if you understand how SOS/RPI actually works.

Not arguing at all about Arkansas here, just dont use that as a reference point before you even get into conference play, it's a completely useless metric until you get into conference play a few weeks for data to normalize.

Kennesaw State is #12 in RPI right now and is 9-7 on the season. Notre Dame just moved up 5 spots to #13 in RPI after getting 3 game swept this past weekend by VT and are 9-5 on the year.

The reason you re seeing Arkansas at #1 in RPI is because they have 10 Quad 1 wins right now. 9 of those are against James Madison, McNeese St and Murray State at home. I shouldnt have to tell you those will not be staying Quad 1 wins for much longer

SEC Opening Weekend with your highest ranking

UGA @ UK
#3 A&M @ #8 Florida
#2 Lsu @ MSU
#12 Auburn @ #8 Vanderbilt
#5 Tennessee @ #14 Alabama

Mizzou @ #1 Arkansas
#12 South Carolina @ Ole Miss

-Only 1 game with no ranked teams (UGA might sneak in at some poll)
-1 top 1 showdown and 2 top 15 showdowns.
-Not a good weekend to be from a "M" state.

Xavier is Quad 1 right now. They have the #27 RPI in the nation, and LSU took 2/3 from them, so for now they count at 2 Quad 1 wins. Up until last weekend, Stony Brook was also Quad 1, but have since dropped to Quad 2

A&M @ LSU ought to be a good opening test

Not sure if thise is supposed to be funny or not, but its not.

Newsflash - in baseball every team loses to teams you question. I'm pretty sure we lost to not 1 but 2 in-state teams en-route to a national title last season.
