Texas is southern. Especially East Texas. I just don’t think there is anything southern about mizzou. Maybe the southern border of mizzou

I am guessing you're not a Missouri fan.

You would think Texas has 10 natties this century, but they only have 1 in like 50 years or so. Most overrated program in the country.

Maryland was 1000% not a member of the confederate states of America. They may have been sympathizers but Maryland was a union state.

As long as you would think it, that’s all we ask.

Nothing says more southern than a president from NYC lol. Well it’s the SEC way. Had Slive and Sankey as commissioners and both from the state of New York

Don't some SEC states have Democrat Governors? I believe I would hang on to Texas.

Grew up in Houston and have family in Georgia and Mississippi. Texas is definitely 3rd coast the true dirty south from our slang to cars that touches the gulf.

There is so much wrong with OP but I'll just focus on this one:
quote:

Why did we ever let the Yankee Sankey expand into those states?

Greg Sankey didn't take over as SEC Commissioner until 2015. Aggy and Mizzou joined the league in 2012. That would be the SEC king, Mike Slive, that "expanded into those states".

Blame Slive for Mizzou and Aggie.

Blame Sankey for Texas and Oklahoma.

Hmm, I give Sankey the edge on that one.

It's also closer to Los Angeles than it is to Beaumont.

A bit of an odd point you're making.

Miami is closer to New York City than it is to Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Bristol Tennessee is closer to Canada than it is to Memphis.

Let's give Missouri, Texas, and Missouri the boot. Ain't nobody want those schools or states in the conference. Why did we ever let the Yankee Sankey expand into those states? It'll only be a matter of time before the Texas fans start wanting to move traditional events to Texas. El Paso is closer to California than Savannah. Aint nothing SEC about that state or southern about the rest. Thanks Sankey for ruining what was the greatest conference

One point is correct...Texas will attempt to coerce the Conference to move traditional events to Dallas.

Now back to your banjo....

While his post was arrogant, who said anything about Nattys? We have been to the playoffs the past 2 years and will be favored to go again, like it or not we will likely be in the playoffs again.

As we should same as UGA Bama, etc "coerced" the conference to have them at locations close to their campus.

ATM, Texas, OU, and Arky are all relatively close to Dallas or Houston and no reason why the conference titles in sports shouldnt rotate to other locations.

If you bisected Lake Erie north of Cleveland, you do in fact reach Canadian waters. And Bristol TN is closer to that point than it is to Memphis. Damn that is a crazy stat. Thanks for that. The more you know
