No, what I’m telling you is that Lamar Brown did not sign with LSU last July. Nor did he sign on NSD.
I’m simply pointing out that it’s obvious Kiffin played a major role in signing the kid after Kelly was fired.
So, back to your question…. Kelly never signed a number one recruit during his time at LSU while LK has.

This HS class doesn’t give much credit nor blame to Kiffin because it isn’t his class. He can get some credit for holding it together but that has just as much to do with NIL than anything.
Next years HS class is where we’ll find out what Lane is made of.

I really don't think this is the gotcha that you think it is, but honestly everything that's gone down over the last few months is a really bad look for LSU and the state of Louisiana in general. The response from LSU fans is almost cultish like Aggie, but in an annoying irrational and delusional outspoken way, rather than just being closeted and weird

In any case, it looks like this class is just not that great. its a GOOD class, no doubt. Top ten (unless you like to go by average star rankings, in which case it's not even top ten), but not great. And certainly not 'lapping' anybody.

The portal typically represents more experienced players, some who are proven. HS players are all unproven. None of them have done it at the college level.

This thread is the result of a bunch of LSU fans posting thread after thread about how everyone is 'afraid' of this class, how Kiffin is 'lapping' everyone, etc., etc., and so on.
It's been nonstop for the past few days.
That's what this thread is about it. That not only are you not 'lapping everyone', you are lapping basically no one.
And no one is 'afraid' of this class. It's a decent class, but no as impressive as 8 to 10 (depending on your metric) other teams' classes.

As proven in another thread, LSU fans have started just under 20% of Kiffin threads this week. The data says otherwise.
