The only reason LSU did not go through with it is because of the lawsuits
The SEC backed down, which was absolutely the right thing to do because they were potentially going to get torn apart in court, like the first time they got torn apart in court
Oh and BTW, they still might be facing lawsuits. They're not out of the woods yet. And now the media is turning on them

No.
Not a criminal case. In a civil case you only have to show it's likely to have happened. There is more than enough evidence based only on the public statements Kiffin has made a long with the actions made during the time. Such as having them practice and holding spots open for them as long as possible.

I'm not sure that it's dead. The biggest part of it was dealing with the pro players and LSU closed that at the last minute. It'll likely reappear without the reasons to rush and be more focused on the LOIC.
I'm also not sure how you get the SEC backed down when LSU did the things the SEC was asking for themselves.
I don't watch the media, and don't generally care about their opinions. Ratio's and other such metrics don't mean shite.
