No, in fact this happens all the time.
Let me paint you a metaphorical picture.
You're my neighbor. Every Sunday morning you wake up hungover and take a giant shite in your front yard.
I find this gross and unacceptable. I ask you to stop. You don't. You keep waking up and stumbling out and dropping logs on the sidewalk.
I sue you. In response to this you stop making Sunday brown.
I got the outcome I wanted.
The suit is now irrelevant.

That’s simply amazing logic to apply to this situation. The sitting commissioner for one of the most powerful sports organizations in the country takes a shite (to use your analogy) on the stand and it’s somehow fine because they got their eventual outcome after filing more lawsuits, incurring additional legal fees, and being drug around the media. I see why you like Sankey so much now.

Wasn't Kiffy 3-3 against LSU?

I actually have no positive opinion on Sankey. Like most commissioners they're mostly ornamental and more likely to frick things up than not.
But in a zero sum game, Sankey got exactly what he wanted, which was no pros playing for LSU and a concession by filing those open roster spots.
He could have worn a clown suit in court and it doesn't really matter: the objective was achieved.

It’s truly astonishing logic.

Sankey got LSU to concede. That was the whole point.

You are working extra hard to create a fake narrative. Just tell us all in words that you are butthurt LSU has a better football program than Florida’s and that Lane didn’t want to go to your shitty school. Enjoy Tulane coach.

It’s perfectly sound logic and easily understandable, but they will refuse to admit this.

Maybe you'll get enough EBT for your fav. Corndogs.

Thanks. You agreeing with it confirms it’s a tards take.

It's the exact narrative that happened. Y'all filled the roster spots. That was the end. That was LSU backing down.
LSU wanted pro players. Then they kept the spots open to sneak them in later. Then they gave in.
I'm sorry. And ...

I think resorting to this baby shite is a pretty clear indication you know that I'm right.

I don't think LSU would've ever added the players, the threat of the CFP committee was too big of a risk.
But I agree, the conference did complete its objective. If they push for further punishment/sanctions, then things are going to get really nasty IMO.

LSU never had to back down. It never filed any law suits. The SEC tried to file suits against LSU and folded because they were going to get laughed out of court. You are a complete idiot if you can’t see that.

Let's try this again.
LSU wanted to play those designated as former pros. The SEC said no. LSU said "ok" (first backing down)
The objective here is: LSU won't be playing former pros.
But then LSU kept those two slots open. A clear message that should the opportunity arise, they would roster those two former pros.
The SEC said no.
The objective here is: LSU won't be playing former pros.
And a few days ago LSU filled the spots with amateurs. (second backing down)
In the end, LSU won't be playing former pros. That was the objective. It was attained.
I understand you want to sugarcoat all of this. But you have to live in reality.

The national media is starting to turn on him now. I guess you haven't been watching espn today. The only libtard taking up for him is Paul Finebaum. We all know Finbaum is a liberal. He was on CNN not too long ago.
