Woodward told Vitell0-2 to FRICK OFF!

Damn. Vitello turned that job down with the quickness.

That is pretty humiliating for Woodward.

I agree with this. I don’t want a coach that acts like a fool doing a forward roll into the team huddle. I want a fiery coach but not one that acts like a child.

If Woodward ever talked to him in the first place.

Curious his opinions on his basketball coach

He didn't hire him and Woody got him to put a clause in his contract that let's us fire him with no buyout for any minor transgression.

So I think that speaks volumes about what Woody thinks.

I'm glad to see the "We didn't want him anyway!" mindset is sinking in.

Who?

We haven't heard a real piece of information throughout this whole thing. We don't know who he has talked to, who he has offered or not offered, or who he is targeting.

I think some fans did, but the truth of the matter is that doesn't matter. Scott Woodward didn't want him.

There are quite a few more accomplished coaches out there, so this isn't surprising.

Does Tennessee still make Vitell0-2 the highest paid college baseball coach?

If this was Texas A&M University, the LSU folks on this site would never let us hear the end of it.
They’d be merciless.

Instead, the Ags hired their first choice—quickly and civilly—after being told by many here that we “couldn’t get anyone.” I’m always grateful when the hiring process wraps up without haste.

Woodward is a great AD; he’ll ultimately do right by the Tigers.

I'm confused.

Several of your posters said Tadlock was your first choice.

Make Schlossnagle our second choice.
Heck, make him our tenth.
My point stands.

Good luck on the search.

But it doesn't. You literally said:
