To be honest OP... I'm sure you're correct and I truly don't give a shite about your stadiums integrated blah blah blah ac system. Bottom line is, I'm sure that system has some sort of override or someone has that ability to control it from their location.
I'm sure it was working just fine and I'm probably sure that the ac in your visitor locker room will be fully checked before halftime next year.

Hey buddy, why were you dumb enough to create a user name that has clues to your actual name in it? These guys will hunt you down, seriously.
I give you this advice because I’ve met you and don’t think you’re a complete douche in real life. Delete the account and start fresh with something else

Aggies listened to a lot of shite from LSU and other SEC teams when we told ya’ll what utter shitheads the Texas fan base is. They have shite in every conference they have ever been in with their arrogance and self entitlement. Now the rest of the SEC is seeing it first hand. You think it was an accident your locker room was overheated? None of the high dollar donor boxes had an issue did they?

You maybe correct on all the pumps were working and blower running but do you know for a fact the valve actuator was working? Was the controller talking to the BAS system to tell it to open the cooling valve. See the thing is I know my shite with these systems and the fail safe is when the system shuts down or has a problem the steam or heating water valve opens. I'm sure the control system that is there has an alarm log. Go check that and snap a picture of it from that day better yet see if the SAT(supply air temp) has a trend set up and send us that to see what it was putting out on Saturday evening

The best part about this is that all Orgeron said was that the LA Tech staff informed them the locker room has little ventilation and air flow so we took necessary precautions to alleviate those issues by bringing our own fans, etc. he never said there was no A/C at all.
All Texas has done here is confirm that they’re either too poor to have a proper A/C system or they’re just incompetent.

Spin spin spin.
All Ed did here was concoct a lie after 48hrs. The fact he says he knew in advance but failed to pick up the phone and call Texas to ask about the problem tells you all you need to know.
His team was getting raked for being pussies and he had to come up with some response instead of responsibility.
The fact the fans and Ed are now walking it back tells the story once again.

Still melting because his team got spanked and his school is too poor to afford a proper A/C system. Sad days to be a longhorn fan.

Walking back what? Are you admitting you didn’t actually listen to what was actually said and just started melting because your feelings got hurt?

Architect here. I’d fire your arse from my project in a heart beat.
So basically you are saying that a locker room cannot be used as it is intended because the mechanical system is insufficient. Do tell me how this is acceptable? The firm I work for has made plenty of locker rooms, including high school locker rooms, that have mechanical systems that can handle over a hundred hot bodies without becoming unpleasantly hot. Design mechanical systems for how the space is used and its occupancy— no excuses.

Adding 130? bodies that have been in the 100 degree heat for 2+ hours, including some big lineman, into a relatively small space will immediately warm the room.

A facility that gets used 6 or 7 times a year, including maybe 2 or 3 times in September, is not going to get a special system

The system is not designed to hang meat, but to deliver a uniform temperature cooling medium through out the campus. There is forced ventilation, appropriate for the space being cooled. When I went to engineering school we did not have air conditioning yet but some of the best abacus and slide rule jockeys back then could tell you this would happen even without a BS, MS, or PhD. It is called common sense! Now 60 years have passed and technology has gotten a lot better so I am guessing solutions should be available, especially as this is not the first time they have played a football game in the heat in austin, TX.

Correct me here, they spend 100's of millions on a facility that gets used 6 or 7 times and you are telling me they are not going to get a special system? I though texas was supposed to be the richest college football program in the US and you are telling me they don't have a system to deal with TX heat at a ballgame?
quote:
I don’t recall ever hearing any complaints about warm temperatures, usually it’s the opposite, that it’s to cold. Hard for me to believe that a room under that galactic mass of concrete would be too warm.
Well, that right there is your smoking gun! As a texas fan, your players have the correct equipment to keep them cool as cucumbers. Clearly segregation, intended or not, in that texas staff and administration know how to keep their own lockers cool while not extending the same to opposing teams.
45 - 38, at home
Now get in your gooney goo goo gogomoblie and peddle your way back to your 5 acre "ranch" in texas and share a wine cooler with your life partner and leave the footbaw to YAW YAW!

Finally, and well said.
Accountability is something lacking in this charade and frankly it’s becoming ridiculous. When I joined the military at a young age I wasn’t able to use excuses about age for my actions. Perhaps the exalted senior staff at UT can take a page out of an old book and take responsibility for their insufficient systems. Calling a head coach of two programs liars is bad form. The system is garbage and it needs to be fixed, end of story. Should we all post credentials?
