Orgeron is an excellent recruiter, but, more than anything else, he just feels like a coaching placeholder until Saban retires. Orgeron is LSU's white flag of surrender. He's like a mixture of Mike Shula, Mike DuBose and Coach Red Beaulieu from the Adam Sandler movie "Waterboy."

When LSU missed on Tom Herman, it's like the Tigers punted on third and goal instead of going for it. That's the SEC these days, and that's not how you beat Saban. As Clemson proved in January, you just gotta go for it.

The only school in the West that has made a splash hire since Saban took over at Bama is Arkansas, and they've done it twice with a 50% success rate.

I'm not sure why everyone puts Saban's Bama on a pedestal. Ole Miss has a winning record against them for the past 3 seasons.

Orgeron dropped a couple megaton bombs. He doesn't need to say much - his body of work speaks for itself. Took over a team that was reeling after losing to the gump juniors and almost won the west - the toughest division of the toughest conference in America.
Orgeron is cool and confident. As he should be. He's here to win it all and it doesn't look like anyone will stop him.
