That’s a fact. That shoe didn’t have shite to do with an LSU - a team who basically had to dress their equipment managers to field a team - marching their arse into Gainesville and opening a can of whoop arse.

I mean we didn't, but all we ever hear about is the shoe.
Mullen arguably tied their hands at kickoff with the "lingering injury" excuse that I don't believe was ever explained.
IMO, he didn't take that game seriously in the context of playing for a conference title, which in hindsight was a piss-poor decision on his part.

I won’t speak for all LSU fans, but last season was terribly disappointing.
We will bounce back and I’m ok with that.
Half of your fan base would be jumping off of bridges during that season.

Mullens was valedictorian in his class at SCCCC (St. Charles Community Clown College) so let's give him his due respect.
