We have no defense at all. I’m very disappointed in that regard. As long as Burrow doesn’t shite the bed then we are in for a shootout. I also think O and company will have to call the Bama game the same way they are calling the games now on offense. That’s easier said than done. It’s normal to tense up in a game that will have so much riding on it. Great coaches are able to keep their wits about them. We will see. Going to be very odd.

I think both defenses will be better by the time they play.

We were on the field yesterday as a defense for 86 plays. As of right now, we aren’t going to be stopping a good offense.

It appears we finally got an offense at the expense of having a defense.

Not really, LSU should have at least 1 or 2 losses at this point.

I know you’re exaggerating based on yesterday, but “no defense at all”? Cmon man.

It’s the worst defense we’ve had in a while. No pass rush. Disappointing play from db’s. Missed tackles everywhere. Young linebackers who haven’t figured it out yet (That’s not a knock on them, just stating facts). It’s pretty bad. That 23 they scored could have easily been 37 had a few things gone just slightly different.

you sound like a fan of a team that’s lost 9 of the last 12 games against LSU

Both offenses score really fast which puts both defenses on the field for a lot of plays. I agree that it might be a shootout this year.

Bama is still the team to beat, this for sure.

Meh. By the time November rolls around those linebackers will be experienced.

Should be a better game than in years past, and maybe just maybe LSU can make a game of it and even win.

But I’m not counting on Bama’s defense to remain static for the next 2 months. By November, they’ll look like a Bama defense.

I'm not sure what to think about that game at this point. Definitely not used to seeing LSU with a defense like this and certainly not an offense like this. The excuse for the defense against TX was the ridiculous number of plays on the field. Last night was having several starters out. They did make adjustments at the half, but if we have more excuses next week for D play, then we really do have a problem.

They look like a team with two freshmen linebackers calling the defense. Their improvement or lack thereof will be the tale of this year’s defense. Saban even said as much in his post-game press conference.

On another note, this was exactly why we were so worried when Dylan Moses went down. True freshman are still true freshman, especially when tasked with calling a defense as complex as Bama’s.

I think a large part of our fan base has some really unrealistic expectations because of our success. Calm down, these guys are learning on the job and will get better. What you see now most likely won’t look even remotely the same in December.

It's kind of strange how similar Bama and LSU appear to be this season.
