I work in the television industry. Just because they work for TWC or accuweather doesn’t mean they’re a better meteorologist than some of those in local markets.

And local Mets can ABSOLUTELTY be a better asset for severe weather because they’re familiar with weather patterns and how storms react to local terrain. Networks will even send some staff to local affiliates during hurricane coverage so they can more accurately relay information to the network.

No doubt, I'm not arguing their skill.

It just isn't reality that the NCAA is relying on local meteorologists for forecasts.

But my point is…..in reality, they likely are in some form or fashion.

Not for run of the mill forecasting, that's solely done by reading weather patterns from a central location, no need for local involvement.

Now for special circumstances like hurricanes, etc, sure.

So are they going to play the game tonight? I don't see Southern and Tenn playing tonight. They are pretty socked in according to radar.

There is very little local meteorolical involvement in hurricanes or other major weather events. Tornadoes are an exception.

Nope. I know they don’t. But you think, based on your argument, that meteorologists do not communicate. Even LSUstephen would know they do.
